I just got an email from gifts of a lifetime and they had this suggestion based on a questionaire I filled out:

Tinker Bell's Envious Event:
In the Magic Kingdom you go with your daughter behind the castle to the Cinderella
Fountain under the pretext of having her throw in a coin and make a wish.
Waiting there at the wishing well will be a note addressed to your daughter from
Tinker Bell. The note will explain that Tink was very annoyed because your daughter
can go to college and Tink cannot. So now Tink has taken a gift that was to
be given to your daughter from you, and hidden it. Your daughter(and you) must follow
the clues to find it or it will be hidden in Neverland forever. The first
clue will lead her to the second and so on. After 4 clues you will
finally find her gift. The total for this event is $275.00, not including
the cost of the final gift. A gift that is Tink themed would make a good
ending gift but the gift is not included in the price of the event because
we ask your assistance in choosing it and we plan according to your budget.
We can suggest things from $16 to $125.00.

My daughter is looking at all As this term - unless something goes gravely wrong with finals - and hey, I'm doing this!!! If you think that my college student daughter is not going to be tickled to death with this, you obviously underestimate the power of the Disney magic that continues to keep a firm hold over our family!!!!!!!!:p

I am going to try out Gifts of a LIfetime soon. Can't wait! Got my questionnaire in now.

I think that is a great thing to do for your daughter. I am 26 and I would love to have someone do a surprise like this for me. I am dying for my daughter to be old enough that I can have gifts of a lifetime do something for her!

Have a great time! I'd love to hear a report after your daughter's surprise.

Hi Hayley, I am also using GOL for my mom's birthday. Here is the event we are using:

Birthday Gossip:
This event begins with a custom made gossipy newspaper that your mom will "find" waiting for her at the location we set up with you. This version of the "WDW Tattler" will feature a cover story about your mom and her birthday.
It will read that certain characters (we will use some of her favorites) have been seen hiding and re-hiding a gift around the park and that the scuttlebutt is that your mom will never be able to find it. Then the paper will go on to give your mom the clues to where she needs to look. At each location she will find a piece of the paper with an article about the character that was involved with moving from that location. At the finale, four clues later, she will find her gift.
The gift itself is something you will need to determine. It can be a watch, a snow globe, a shirt, - anything. It can even be simply a birthday card from you.

This is going to be so much fun and a wonderful memory. I will post about the event when we get home. Only 25 days to go.:bounce: :bounce: :) :)

Hi there.. what a great idea...

I was trying to think of some special things to do with my daughter on our vacation to Disney... and a treasure hunt at MK would be great...

I filled out the pre-questionaire and will wait and see what they come up with.

Thanx for the great idea

OK these look good, really good for that real special event but does anyone know who the company is that just organises gift baskets in WDW ?

Many thanks

I have to agree with tmfranlk - I'm also 26 and would be tickled to death with this too.

oh - and I love Tink...but what female doesn't? :)

We renewed our wedding vows with Gifts of a Lifetime and we had a great time. Here's a copy of my trip report....

Getting Married at Disney World...

...with the help of Jane and the Pixies.

We arrive at our meeting place at the Polynesian Resort to find breakfast all laid out for us: fruit, muffins and pastries in the picnic hamper; champagne, orange juice and champagne glasses in the cooler; a dozen beautiful pink roses, de-thorned; a polaroid camera; and a card and magic wand.
The card is for Gene. He opens it to read...

He says, "Oooh, Baby," and gives me a naughty wink. Then he opens the card to read...

We break into peals of laughter and after a moment of consideration Gene waves the wand. Jane comes forward to perform the ceremony. We stand in the special spot, the Pixies take our picture and Jane says, "Oh no, you can't get married, you have to prove your love for each other."

Our task is to go to the Magic Kingdom and have out picture taken (kissing) at seven specific locations by 1:00 or I will turn into a pumpkin. But first, breakfast. We save most of the fruit and pastries for later, but we still have a bottle of champagne and it would be a shame to let that go to waste. The Mimosas are yummy and I'm happy to report that the champagne glasses made it all the way home intact.

Then it's off to the Magic Kingdom to accomplish our task.

Jane meets us at the Swiss Family Treehouse. We show her the proof of our love for each other. Jane gives us our Bride and Groom hats, and with a wave of her magic wand, performs the wedding ceremony.

We say our vows and Jane pronounces us, "Still Married."

She takes more pictures of us and gives us the roll of film. And we give her a rose.

As we were on our quest, we started giving roses to the people who took our picture. This was so much fun that after our event we went looking for people to share the roses. Gene pointed out an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair and I traded him a rose for a kiss on the cheek. Then we found a handicapped little boy who was at WDW through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We spent a few minutes talking with his parents and then gave them a rose. We left the Magic Kingdom with three roses and gave them away the next day. Both of us got so much joy out of sharing the roses that Gene suggested we buy some flowers on our next trip just so we can give them away.

And they lived happily ever after...

Awwww Laura.... your wedding renewal was so Suite.... Errrmmm I mean sweet!

Thanx for sharing it with us!

oh Laura...that was too sweet! thank you for sharing that with us!

When I head down there on my honeymoon - I would LOVE to get pictures of us kissing at certain locations...what a great idea! Even if it's not through GOAL...I stll think that's a romantic idea - and a great way to get my future hubby to pucker up! :)

hey haley, i used gol for my daughters 16th birthday 4 years ago and we did tinkerbell theme and i tell you she loved it she still talks about it we have pictures she tells her friends it was one of the coolest things i have ever done for her , i paid for the extra gift too it was a classic it was a tinkerbell watch marc davis collection, #85/1000 , that came in a box that when you opened it the wings lit up, she got that and shortly thereafter they recalled them because i think the wings that lit up sometimes broke but she still has hers intact, also sadly after that marc davis the creator of tinkerbell died so it is even worth more sentimentaly to her. gol did a good job even the cast member who was working at tinkerbellls treasures got into it when he found out it was her birthday he got her a pair of mouse ears with her name on it and had everyone sing her happy birthday in the store, it was unexpected didsney magic all around that day!!!!!!!

These are such great memories. I cant wait until we do our event for my mom's birthday. Thanks for sharing.
