wait or bank and borrow?

We have just decided to go to AKV Kidani for a weekend in Oct. It is currently available however I only have 25 pts left in this use year and they are for SSR. I knew I would be borrowing 105 for the stay. My question is. Do I bank the 25 and then book for Oct using all borrowed points (130), or do I wait ten days and use up my 25 SSR points and only borrow 105 from next UY.

If I book right away, I'd be banking the 25 SSR which I would immediately reallocate to my DEC trip.


Hope that makes sense. I guess it comes down to whether I'd be able to get a 1BR savanna view at the 7 month mark in ten days, rather than just booking today, knowing it is avail.

Personally, my decision would be to bank, but then I don't know your use year. We tend to go in "off" seasons, so availability is never an issue. When we go in Dec., we go the first week. my use year is June. I bank something every year & when my points are almost double, I get a Grand villa and take the in-laws.

If you've got points in your current use year that you know you aren't going to use then definitely bank them. Without knowing your use year it's a bit hard to advise. If you aren't within the 7 month booking window for the dates you want AKV you can't use the SSR points now to book there though. If you want to confirm the dates now & you own at AKV and need to borrow that is what you will have to do if you want to insure that you can confirm the room if you are outside the 7 month window. I hesitated a little too long myself for BWV for October and now I'm waitlisted for two of the days I wanted.
