I have our resort ressies for May, 2005, but hoping to get discounts for that time. We can be flexible with our dates, I'm thinking mid-May is a good time but if a discount is open some other week in May, that would be fine too. So I just checked flights for the heck of it and see round trip for us for $137. Yikes, what a deal! I guess I have to wait until the codes come out but I sure hope those airfares are still there.

Book the air. It's easier to find a resort bargain than it is to get cheap airfare.

Depends on which airline the good fare is with..... don't forget that there are several carriers in bankruptcy or near it. That doesn't mean you should automatically stay away from a carrier that's struggling (as most of them are). But you SHOULD do some checking as it's not clear that they'll all emerge from bankruptcy in one piece. So booking this far in advance does now run you the risk of significant future flight changes (as airlines revamp schedules to try to improve their balance sheet) OR the airline just not making it (probably US is at most risk for that right now). In the past booking early has been a good thing - that may not be the case right now.
