Just asking the experts . . . long story short we thought we booked our stay checking out June 10th, so we booked our flight leaving June 10th. When we called to organize Magical Express we were shocked to learn that for some bizarre reason that neither of us can remember, we only booked through June 9th. We've waitlisted and called each day. We are only checked BCV and BWV 1 and 2 bedrooms (because we don't want to long move - we're already moving twice in the trip by choice - well, my choice, not DH's).

Do we even have a prayer? What would you recommend?

That IS a lot of moving around...I don't blame you for not wanting to move again but I would get a backup reservation at another resort just in case. You are already within the 31 day window for cancellations (even though people DO cancel later too). BCV and BWV aren't large resorts so WL may not come through. Did you check availability at all DVC resorts? OKW and SSR are very large. Chances are better that you could get something there. You could always book it and still WL.

Did you try for a member cash reservation at either BWV or BCV for that one night?

Here's hoping your WL comes through. :)

Hate to be dense, but what exactly IS a member cash reservation? Do I do that also through MS?

Yes, you book cash reservations w/DVC discount (I think 25%) through member services. There are some other discounts out there. I was going to book a night w/the summer promo discount (they're advertising moderates around 30% off on the Disney site)

The 25% discount isn't always available and I'd bet it's not available for your one night. Do you have an AP? The AP rate starts somewhere around that time.

Yes, you can call MS and see if they have a DVC cash discount on BWV or BCV for your one missing night. I believe this comes out of the other resort inventory (not DVC). They may or may not have availability. Never hurts to ask. Though you may just want to reserve another hotel as a 1BR or 2BR at a DVC resort is still a lot of $$$$ even with the member discount! :) But at least you'd be at the same resort. We usually book a moderate if we are missing a night (a lot cheaper) and hope our WL comes through. Booking a moderate through CRO gives you a 5 day cancellation window in case your WL does match.

Have you tried getting a cash reservation at the Swan or Dolpin? They aren't that far from the BC/BCV and might not be as expensive. Especially if are a government employee or teacher.
