Wait list

Waitlisted for SSR and BW for first wknd in Nov.
Keep calling and checking but still nothing. Even asking for Disney collection but still nothing.
Has anybody been shut out on a wait list?
Any recommendations and/or thoughts.
Don't want to cancel as we are doing the half marathon and don't want to lose the money.

I just got my waitlist for that weekend. I managed a 1 bedroom at SSR last month because I stalked the RAT. I checked every hour to finally get that weekend. After that I decided to waitlist for a bedroom that sleeps 5, so waitlisted For two one bedrooms that I thought might come through. I waitlisted okw (not HH) and AK kidani savanna view. Luckily the AK came through this week. My suggestion would be to change the Bwv to either okw or AK kidani. After watching rooms open, mostly I saw SSR preferred views open a lot and AK kidani savanna view. They opened more often probably because they are higher points. Good luck.
