Wait List question?

When I got put on the wait list today for nov 14-18th for VAKL.

They mentioned if the waitlist wasn't met by the 31 day mark.
You could call and have it extended until 7 days before check-in.

Is the 31 day mark from the day you check in or check out?

I want to put it on my calender so I don't goof it up. Mom really wants to stay w/ the animals.

You can also call them now and they can change it to up to 7 days prior, you don't have to wait until the 31 day mark to request that, I've done it twice already, once at two months and this last waitlist at 5 months prior.
