Wait List For AK Any Chance?

Hey guys... I have reservations at Saratoga Springs Jan.29 to Feb. 1st in a two-bedroom. We planned the trip last minute (just this past weekend). We never do that but some things happened to led us to decide to go. We always reserve at the 7 month mark but no this time. Anyway, we really wanted the AK... we are on the wait list.... any chance this is going to come through or should I just forget it?

Well, since you are already within the 30 day window, chances are probably pretty slim. I doubt that someone will cancel unless they absolutely have to, and...you may not be at the top of the waitlist.

Oh, well! You'll have a great time no matter where you stay!

We are staying at AKV for one night the week before you. They called earlier this week and asked if we would be able to change rooms. (We were moved to a smaller concierge room)...so my guess is they do not have the inventory available that they thought they would have at this time. Here's wishing you some pixie dust!

We got it!!!!! Not from the waitlist. I called Friday... 5 days before the trip. They had inventory. Just one 2 bedroom, savanna view.... We are so excited.

DVC just declared some new inventory last week. They can not release those rooms until they are declared. There will be rooms added to the system over the next month or two, so if you want tp switch resorts to AKV, now is a good time.

Congratulations and great news to hear about the rooms opening up and AKL over the next two months. I meant to call MS today and check but I'll wait till Mon. I am at SSR but waitlisted AKL. This is my nephews first trip to Disney and I would love to be at AKL. He is only 4 but I think that would seal the deal as far as him remembering the trip.
