Wait list for add ons for Boardwalk

I did not know until these resent threads that you could be put on a wait list for add-ons at Boardwalk and OKW.

I would love to add on about 50 points to my Boardwalk contract. But I also want to pay cash and right now that is not an option, maybe in a few months.

So do you think these small add ons will still be available in a few months from now?

Wanted and got 50 extra points.

I was placed on the waitlist late Dec/early Jan. I requested and received 70 points, September use year, BWV--two weeks ago.

Thanks! One more question, Did your guide indicate that they thought you could/would be able to get the points? Mine said there was no list when I asked in Feb. I am now finally on the list, and I am just going to wait for BW (or if I have to, I will wait and buy BCV.)

Who is your guide?

I just received a phone call from mine and he told me that there is no wait list for add ons at Boardwalk.

So if I have to I would like to switch mine because I am not too fond of him anyway...very pushy!!!

Or if anyone else would like to give me their guides name that could help me out here....

hi, we are dvc members. home resort is bw, with points at vb, too... first we've heard about bw add on waitlist. have put a call into our dvc guide to inquire. would love another 50-100pts. what are the chances? we are aug. use year.any more info, input on this would be reaaly helpful. thanks!

My guide is Kim Moore. He is outstanding. He is the one who suggested the wait list to me. I said no, as I thought it would never happen, and he said I should do it anyway. Take a chance, ya know? Anyway, his advice was good. He was very happy to call me that it went through.

Call MS to be connected with him. Again, Kimble Moore. He's very sharp, honest, and friendly.

I want to add on at the BW so bad! My guide told me she would call me if something in my use year became available, but she said not to count on it. And, it sounded like she thought the "wait list" would be discontinued in April. I feel like a points-addict! DH says "how many times a year do you think we can afford to fly to Florida anyway?" Help! I can't stop thinking of DVC trips!!

You are not alone, if it makes you feel better. We're all here reading and typing, because WDW makes us feel a little happier when we are there.

Good luck with the wait lists. I was shocked that it came through. It may have to do with what month your use year is whether or not you get your add on points.

I think I'll chime in here. Like A1A1, I just had my BWV add-on points come through from being on a waiting list. Only I was on the waiting list for less than 2 weeks! You might have seen the thread I started a few days ago celebrating my good news, and encouraging people to consider the waiting list.

Now that his name has been mentioned here, I'll add that my guide is also Kim Moore. You're right, A1A1, he is excellent!! Very knowledgeable, prompt to return calls, outgoing, resourceful, and not at a ll pushy. (I had not shared his name in my other thread, because I wasn't sure if that was right to do on these boards?? But now Kim has been named, and I'd like to add my words of praise for him. Great guy!)

My use year is December, and there was only one person ahead of me on the waiting list for points when I went on it.

Glad to hear that your points also came through, A1A1! Good luck to others out there who are also pursuing those treasured BWV add-ons! I'm pulling for you!

Wondered if anyone else got on the wait list. I found out for sure that it is the use year that depends on whether or not you get your add-ons. If a contract cancels or someone sells back from your use year, then your number is up and your name moves up on the waitlist. They break up the contract to meet the add on requests of those on wait list.

Too bad some of the guides were negative about it. They may have known, though, if your use year had a long wait.
