Wait List Comes Through!!!

I just got mail notification that the one night we needed at the BWV Std. view, 1BR came through to complete our five nights this August. It took about seven weeks, but it worked!! Since we had the night at OKW already, I wasn't really concerned so I set it up to make the change "automatically" if it came available. I didn't have to call even once!

I've had 100% success with the waitlist. We just got a 1 BR instead of a studio, two weeks from our trip for Spring break! We spent less than a week on the wait list. The only time I was sweating it was last August for a stay at BCV. It came through the week before we left. Diana

My wait list came thru yesterday for a 1bd standard view at BWV for June!! We are so excited!!!

I was waitlisted for a one bedroom standard view at the Boardwalk. I got a letter in the mail yesterday that its available and they booked my reservation as I requested.


I am so happy as I will save points over the preferred view I had reserved in the meantime.

Wow - what's up with the switching lately? We just got a confirmation that our full-stay (ie, not day-by-day) waitlist came through for Memorial Day week! We had pretty much assumed it wouldn't and forgot about it.

Funny thing, though - we just did an add-on and forgot to cancel the waitlist as we can afford to use the points now. I called to move it back to preferred and those are all booked up! So, just banked the extra points.

This is kinda strange, we waitlisted a 1BR standard view BWV in the middle of January for a stay 6/21-6/26. It came through this week!
Does this mean the parks will be empty too??
It's weird that all these came through together isn;t it?

Our waitlist for June at BWV came through, too! Just received confirmation in the mail that 1 bedroom standard came through so we save the points we had planned to use on 1 bedroom preferred. I need some clarification on this, though. When I originally made ressie, I had to borrow points from 2004 account since standard was not available and we had to do preferred. Now, what happens to those points? Since my original request was for a standard view, do those points go back to my account for 2004 - as though they were not ever borrowed?

Since so many of these waitlist requests were at BWV, I wonder if perhaps they finished some rennovations ahead of schedule. That would explain why they are all coming through at the same time.

It is my understanding that once points are borrowed they must be used in the use year they are borrowed into. They cannot be returned to their original use year.

Congrats on the waitlist coming through! So far we have had 100% success with the waitlist too. It even came thorugh a couple years ago when we tried making reservations at BWV only 45 days out. The confirmation came in the mail the day before we left.
