Wait, didn't I just get back?! An August '10 PTR...TRIP REPORT LINK ADDED p. 27

awww cute update!!!

If it were me..I'd go swimming and then do a later dinner at Beaches and Cream. DTD is open late, 11pm or midnight. I'm not sure what time your flight gets in though? I do know it will be Sunday = NO CHICK FIL A!!!! If you end up at Beaches and Cream, let me know since I'll be staying there!!!

My brother NEVER wanted to stay at YC/BC but last year when I screwed up our WL reservations and we stayed our night at YC/BC, he fell in love with it, esp. Beaches and Cream! I've only been once with some CP roomies of mine. We got some food and small sundaes for dessert. The food was very good! If you toss out the DTD idea, you could go to B&C and stay for Illuminations :)

Haha, I love this sentence because of the last three words: "They got the No Way Jose sundae which I decided I simply must try."

I think it'd be a great idea to do the Beaches & Cream idea mainly because I'd love to vicariously live through your experience of having the No Way Jose ;)

OMG, how ADORABLE are those pictures! Hehe, love the matching ears!

I like doing a park the first day, but if I couldn't, I'd probably just hang out at the resort for a while, go swimming and then go to DTD! Beaches and Cream is cute too, I had an ice cream soda there and the chocolate ice cream is THE best chocolate ice cream I've ever had! I can't even imagine how good a sundae from there is! :)

I love the old pictures! I didn't know there was a French Minnie! How cute! :upsidedow

I know what show you're talking about in Mickey's Starland! How I miss it....:guilty:

Our flight leaves here around 10:30ish so we wouldn't be getting there until early afternoon. Yeah, it is a Sunday...so sad about no Chick-Fil-A!:sad2: Ohh well. I'll let ya know what we decide to do!

On our trip in Dec. '08 we got some ice cream from there and sat out near Stormalong Bay. Since we did takeout or whatever you want to call it we couldn't get any of the real sundaes. Not only do I want to try the sundaes but the other food as well.

LOL!

The other thing about going to the BC/YC/BW area is then we could just take in some of the entertainment at the Boardwalk. It's such a fun atmosphere at night!

hehe, thanks. I still have those ears. They are a little bit small though now, but I don't think I could ever get rid of them.

It's funny because we never used to go to a park on our first day. We'd just hang out at the pool. Everyone says the sundaes are so good.

Yeah, I wish I had a picture of her. She was really cute.

I know what show you're talking about in Mickey's Starland! How I miss it....:guilty:

That show was awesome!

I like the idea of swimming at the resort then heading over to Beaches & Cream for dinner and ice cream. You can always hang out around the boardwalk for awhile too afterwards :thumbsup2

Mmm, I say definitely do Beaches & Cream for dinner-.I'm with Rachel- I really want to know how the No Way Jose sundae is! I like the idea of walking around the Boardwalk and playing mini golf afterward. And if the weather is good fit a swim in :thumbsup2

Love the reflections of the past trips. I totally met French Minnie Mouse at EPCOT too! Is this her?

minnieepcot.jpg

I also remember her autograph was different in France, though I can't remember what it said.

I like the plan of going swimming then heading over to Beaches&Cream (: Plus, after dinner or whatever, you can walk around BW

Cute pics from the past!

That is true, we could do both. Ahhh there is so much to do outside the parks...it's kind of sad we spend most of our time IN the parks.

I am dying to try the No Way Jose. But maybe once I get there I will want to try something else. LOL. They all seem like they'd be delicious. OK now I really want some ice cream...

YES, that is definitely her!

Yup, or even vice versa...we could go to the Boardwalk and come back and swim. haha!

Thanks!

Well, it was right on cue...yesterday in my post I said how we should be getting our Magical Express stuff any day now. Guess what we got in the mail today?!

That is right, our luggage tags/ME packet! Woot!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Yay for your ME stuff!

That picture of you and your sisters with the ears is awesome! So adorable.

Your plan sounds great. I heard on the radio today that JK Rawling didn't like the first rendition of the butterbeer, so they re-did it a few times to make it perfect. I can't wait to try it!

I can't wait for your report - I'm getting excited about IOA!

I think the mini-golf discount is good for both DVC and APs.

P.S. Thanks for the shout-out Glad I could inspire you to indulge in chocolate-peanutbutter-y goodness!

Checkin, unpack if room is ready. Then head to DTD for Earl of Sandwich. Take a bus to BC and have No Way Jose for desert. We like to get just vanilla ice cream in the sundae. And to be honest the peanut butter sundae at Kopps is superior, but not Disney.:lmao: The food at B&C is good too, but Earl of Sandwich is the best.
You can always swim when you return to your resort. Walk off the sundae with a walk to DHS, then you can take the bus back to SSR. Unless of course you can walk to your room from DTD.:)
Your pictures from your 91' trip are so cute. We stayed at a large villa in that area, I think it was 1999:confused3, when we compared it to a trip to Old Key West in 1994, we found our villa kinda depressing and dark. I am sure SSR is a huge improvement.

Mmm, I can't wait for the butterbeer either.

Is it? I was just looking at my AP Mickey Monitor so I know that I can get 50% off with that. I didn't think DVC got a discount but maybe there is.

I am getting excited too...WWOHP is going to be awesome. :cool1:

I'm hoping our room will be ready since we're getting there later. We usually have had pretty good luck even when we get there early. Mmm, I agree, Earl of Sandwich is so good. I wish there was one of those around here, but the closest thing is Potbelly's.

We love it at SSR!

Oh, and only one week until Disneyland/ASG for you!! :woohoo:

I am so excited that our Magical Express stuff came yesterday! That means our trip is getting really close!! :cool1:

As for what to do the day we get there, I like the idea of Beaches and Cream. Mmmm! The No Way Jose sundae is sooo yummy. :lovestruc

I like your "Growing Up Disney" thing. Obviously I don't remember a ton from that first trip either since I was only 3.

Yay for Mickey mail!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

I can't believe it's coming up so fast.

I think that would be a good idea to go to the Boardwalk/BC/YC. The sundae sounds really good.

Thanks!

Yay for getting your ME documents! Mickey mail is the best :goodvibes

Yes it is! :thumbsup2

Woo hoo, congrats on the Mickey Mail!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: Your trip is so close now, you can actually say you are going next month! :rotfl:
