I purchased 2 fill n go's from Brita for our WDW trip. I have read that some folks attach them to their belt somehow.

What do you use for this? I drink a lot or water b/c of my meds and using the Transderm Scop patch that I wear to prevent motion sickness dries my mouth to cotton. Getting the bottle in and out of the backpack seems a pain and I would like to find an easier way - if there is one.

Let me know, will you? I would appreciate it.

Here's what I do: I get those plastic cable ties, take a longer one, attach a key ring to it and then tie it tight around the brita. Then I take a carabiner and attach it to the ring. Presto, I can now clip and un-clip easily off my belt/backpack/fanny pack.

Some people buy those water bottle straps at the parks, but I just don't like those, plus I'm cheap!:teeth: The cable tie was .49 for a pack of 100 so each one was 0.0049 cents + free key ring + 1 carabiner at .50 cents. Perfect.

Thanks for the quick reply, oogieboogie. One small question. Maybe I'm not up on my hardware lingo but what is a carabiner? I like your idea.

You said they sell the water bottle bottle straps in the parks? If I can't get your idea in on my limited time before the trip, I might just buy the strap. I am carrying the Brita around everywhere now since I can't drink our city water because of my bladder disease and that might make it a lot easier. Plus, it will remind me of the trip daily.

Let me know about the carabiner, will you oogieboogie?

Thanks.
Cheryl

That merchant up there has these water bottle clips. The clip thing is a carabiner. That one up there in the picture you actually put the rubber ring around the spout.

A regular carabiner looks like this:

I like it cause the clip is big so it hooks to lots of things. The key ring on the carabiner is the one I use. Cheapo things, you probably already have it at home.

I use these cable ties (plastic)

oogieboogie,
thanks for submitting a detailed response to your water carrier idea. It sounded interesting, but I as well, wasn't sure what it entailed. . . .
Good Idea!
