Last january I took my wife on a cariage ride. It was a suprise for her. I had a bottle of wine, A blanket, and arranged it with the driver to be in a place to see the fireworks at the right time. It worked out great. I don't rember the cost but I tipped the driver twenty she took her time and made it very magical .
We really enjoyed the wagon ride. I believe someone posted the price...looked about right. Your kids are a great age for the wagon. Mine were younger than that at the time and were a little restless after a while, (the ride lasts 45 min-1 hr).but they still had a good time. We "lined up" early, which turns out wasn't necessary. Our familiy was the ONLY family. We took the earlier ride. (Hot, humid, July) Wish we'd taken the night ride. I wouldn't think you'd need to be there any earlier than 30 min in advance. The buckboard is huge and holds a lot of people. Have fun!

My husband and I were treated to carriage ride as a wedding gift for our honeymoon. It was quiet and secluded even with a driver. While it was nice for a post wedding alone time I would do the wagon ride with kids.
