I am thinking about taking our wagon to WDW, I would box it and check it on the plane, I might just leave it there after the fact. But I am wondering, I saw where one company rents them but are they practical? Can you get them on the busses and such?

It would be good for us b/c them my 6yo could ride some if she needed to.

Wagon's are not allowed at wdw! If you try and enter the turnstyle with one they will store it for you and rent you a stroller to accomodate your children. I have seen it happen twice.

fwiw - I can't even imagine trying to get one on the bus, tram or monorail.

Thanks! Thats what I needed to know. I wonder why that company is renting them down there, other parks maybe.

Thanks again.

When we were there this past May I saw a wagon in Animal Kingdom! I posted about it here when we got back and everyone that responded was as puzzled as I was. It was one of those Little Tykes plastic wagons with the two seats where the kids face each other and has little cupholders. What REALLY made me notice it (besides the fact I was so shocked to see it, as I knew/had heard they weren't allowed) was that it was on the Tiger Walk, where the paths are very narrow.

After I got home I kicked myself for not asking the dad how he got it in there. It just didn't occur to me at the time. Also wish I'd taken a picture! Oh well.

I know this doesn't help, but I'm living proof that someone did get one in, just don't know how.

Maybe the wagon was being used for chidren with special/hidden issues or illness. They may have had special permission.

When I was there last October, there was a family that had to store their wagon. Unfortunatley, they were also on the very crowded bus going back to the resort with us. It was a nightmare. They could not manage to control it. It hit a 4 year old in the head, and then it hit my DH. I do not recommend one on the buses.
