OK, my sister called me a little while ago and says, "Hey, I saw that you called!"
I say, "Ummm, no I didn't..." to which she replies, "Yes, you did ~ it shows right here on my display that you called 45 minutes ago."

So, I proceed to tell her that I had been in the shower and before that, I had been on the phone with my aunt for about 1/2 hour and there is no way I called her (plus, I'm not exactly delusional, LOL ~ I do think I'd remember) :rolleyes1
She keeps insisting that I called, LOL and there is nobody in the house except me right now so I know it wasn't from my phone but I hang up with her and check my outgoing calls and there is no record of my phone dialing her number at all today but her phone is definitely showing that I called her today :confused3

We are both on Verizon Wireless ~ has anybody else ever had this happen?
This is so weird to me!

I have had it happen where the phone showed the worng name, but the correct number. For example, it would say "Joan" on the missed call log, but when you hit the "display number", it would be "Derek's" number. Derek would be the one who actually called. I think it gets its wires crossed sometimes.

I have Cingular and my DH has Nextel. Many times, I get a call from his Nextel and he swears he didn't do it. I often think that because he wears it on his hip that maybe he is hitting up against something and maybe hitting a redial button.

We have Cingular & this type of thing happens all the time. I think it is a delay between when a call actually takes place & when it sometimes shows up on the missed calls.

For instance, when I have had my phone turned off particularly, my phone won't necessarily show any missed calls. Later, may be an hour - may be a day, I will see a missed call for the period during which my phone was turned off. Weird.

mine does delayed text messages and my favorite new quirk is that my phone switches itself to vibrate mode and I miss all my calls. I can't wait for my new phone this summer!

I have verizon too!

ours does this all the time. last week my moms phone kept showing i was calling her,, like three times in one day, shes our secretary in our new location, and she thought i was trying to reach her all day and calling me back too

My phone has never done what the OP's has. But I too have Cingular (well AT&T, whole nother rant there) and mine does the delayed thing too. If I turn off my phone during work (I have to), I won't get my missed calls until at least 5 hours later. Sometimes if the phone is on and I miss a call, I won't get the voice mail for an hour. Now that doesn't make sense!

I haven't had this happen, but DD has had it happen quite a few times. We have both had the problem of missed calls and voice messages not showing up until much later. (We're on Cingular too.)

My DH has had that happen a few times with verizion but I always brushed it off since it seemed to be when he was in spotty areas for recepetion.

My dad called me and asked me what I needed. He said he saw I had called his cell. Ummmm.......no.....I didn't even know his # and no one else in the house did either. I actually didn't even know he had a cell yet.

DD was in the dining room and I was in my bedroom when her phone rang. She came into the bedroom and asked me why I was calling her. :rotfl2: I wasn't calling her.........my phone was in my pocket, folded up, no way to hit a redial button. But she showed me her phone that was ringing, and it said "Mom". So I got my phone out, and on the screen on top, it was counting as though I had made a call. I unfolded it, and was connected to her voice mail ???

We have Verizon also. :confused3

I've also had it happen where someone called me and it just shows up as "incoming call", like if they're calling from a business or something. And if I miss that call, it shows the last actual number that called me, which wasn't that business, since that business didn't show a number. It took me a while to figure out that people weren't calling me, lol.

My daughter's phone has called me from within her pocket. It's a flip phone too, so that's quite impressive.

She did call me and she is delusional :rotfl2: I have the incoming call log to prove it! :listen:

This actually happened to me before and I had to go to Verizon and they had to download something into my phone to reprogram it. Not just for one time but it happened a lot, every call.
