Does anyone have any experience with the paintless hail damage removal that they're doing now? I'm visiting my parents in West Texas, and it hailed on my brand new car three times last night! Ugh...I miss my garage! Anyway, I'm not sure if I should just take it to the body shop our dealer referred us to or just go to a place that specializes in hail damage? Maybe all body shops use the same method now. Any advice or experience out there?

Wow! That's too bad about your car. I don't have an answer for you but your thread reminded me of a huge hailstorm I experienced in Colorado years ago. It was baseball size!!! The car dealerships had Hail Sales for a lo-o-ng time afterwards!!!

We had hail damage a couple of weeks ago, and had it fixed with the paintless repair procedure you describe.

For us it worked great! I would think if your dealership recommended the body shop, you should be fine.

Maybe just call and talk to them, see what kind of gut feeling you get. We were lucky that we know the guy that runs the place. :D

A kid at heart...There are 4 or 5 dents (that I've seen so far) on my hood. They're not huge (pea and dime size), but this vehicle is my baby, and I just bought it a month ago. It NEVER rains out hear...much less hails...so I'm quite ticked off!

CJMickeyMouse...Just what I was looking for...someone who's had this done on their car. Maybe I'm just being paranoid about someone ruining my paint job.

Kitty34...We actually bought this car while on vacation at my parents' (where I am right now) last month. If I'd only waited a month, I might have been able to purchase it for a hail-damage-discounted price. Story of my life...
