W&D Race Guide is online !!

Any idea if the finish line party guide is there? They tell you to check it to pick a meetup location at any of the 27 booths in 11 pavillions, but as far as I can tell, there's no actual map in the program guide. I was hoping to convince my family they want to be out til 3 AM the night before we fly home based on this finish line party guide but all I can find is the broken sharepoint link!

I would expect it our soon. I am thinking that if you look at the Food and Wine Festival booklet on the main site you may get a shot of what is there. Con't imagine a booth not open for a few extra $$

Did everyone notice that the date for next years W&D is on the back of the race guide. Good to know there will at least be a second year. The race will remain the first Saturday of October.

I'm amazed they left it during this weekend next year. With the 40th anniversary the 1st I'm really surprised. Not to mention Epcot's 29th. That will be very hard to turn down!!!

Hmmm so Pop Century isn't a "host" hotel, how are you Poppers getting to the start? Looking at satellite imagery it almost looks like less than a mile walk from the actual hotel if you cut across what may or may not be a bit ditch/creek/fence/barbed wire/spiderhole just south of the hotel...

Edit: Ooh bib numbers too, 707 for me (YAY PALINDROMES!) and 2249 for Cheryl.

Hey Matt! I'm at Pop too, hitching a ride with Anne. Unfortunately her car is full, but if I didn't have access to a vehicle the plan would have been to take a regular resort bus to Epcot and hop the shuttle back to WWoS. Afterwards head out the back of Epcot to Boardwalk to catch a cab. It was a less than $10 ride from Boardwalk to Pop the last time I did it (after JellyRolls).

Looks like one could get through the hedges but there is a fence that one would need to scale, also.

I glanced through it out of curiosity - doing the HM in January this year, but was curious. :) Noticed the Nesquik ad in there...anyone think there's a possibility they'll have that as a post-race option at the races this year? Or should I just have my sister bring me some to the family reunion area? I've gotten into chocolate milk after a run or workout and LOVE it!

Not sure that this is not just a tie to the Food and Wine festival.....

If they have Nesquik and the finish next weekend and then they are in the booklet for January then I would plan on them being at the finish in Jan. Otherwise, plan on having sis bring it.

We'll be driving to Epcot and taking the bus to the start from there.

I was thinking about trying to walk to the start or take a cab to the start, but no cars allowed into WWoS for race time...so I guess I will be taking a resort bus to EPCOT and shuttle from there to the start. Im running solo and guessing my spectator will just take a cab to EPCOT from POP around 10:30 pm. Does that sound like it makes sense for him to do? Anyways if you want company treking to EPCOT and then the start or want to attempt walking let me know...Ill be at POP all week :thumbsup2

Just remember, it will be d-a-r-k during all your trek should you decide to walk.

You are so very right! :scared1: I keep forgetting this is at night! I will take the POP bus to EPCOT and shuttle to the start of the race....where is the shuttle picking people up? Might be a silly question

Also do you think its ok for my spectator to try and take a cab from POP to EPCOT around 10:30?

Its almost here! :woohoo:

Anyone else having trouble with these websites not agreeing with google chrome? They seem to be ok in firefox... :confused3
