VWL - what to expect?

We are staying at the VWL next week after our 4 day Wonder cruise. We just reserved a studio yesterday for this last minute trip.

What can I expect there? (I've been planning on BCV all this time - that's in May - so I know nothing about VWL.) thanks!

(I'm sooo glad to be a DVC member now. We were able to use points at last minute and still get a room for "free" lol. Not our first choice, but I'm not complaining!)

this is a beautiful resort - first of all you don't have to get wet to get something to eat.

Sorry - it has valet parkings, room serivce (I think their room service is one of the best), longes, a very nice pool - both the main and quiet one. One of the best gyms (exercise room, health club - whatever you want to call it) on property. A very good (in my opinion) snack bar - plus several restuarants.

at night don't miss the EWP (Electric Water Pagent) is takes place on the beaches and it is definitely worth seeing.

when you check in - look at the list of activities - they have several - there is also the carriage ride that can be fun!

the arcade, gift shop and one of the restuarants is actually closer to the VWL than to some of the rooms in WL.

the bus stop is definitely closer - right out side.

Expect to fall in love with WLV. It's the most unique of the DVC resorts. Take away the artwork, and decor from the other resorts and you get a similar feel from each of them. Walk into the WLV lobby and you know you're experiencing something different.

Get a list of hidden mickey clues from the front desk. Even if you aren't into hidden mickeys, looking for them will take you into parts of the resort you might not otherwise explore which is a lot of fun.

You can take a boat to either the Magic Kingdom or Fort Wilderness, where you can do Hoop Dee Doo, Trails End Buffet or Chip n Dales Campfire Sing-a-Long.

Rent a surrey bike and ride over to the campground. If you have kids, they will love the petting zoo and pony rides. Nice ride! And the water mice are great fun on Bay Lake!
