Whew, been awhile since I've been able to post here.

We just made our ressies for a quick four day stay in late April this morning and we're interested to know if anyone has any suggestions as to the rooms or floors of choice.

We have reserved a 1BR unit.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! :teeth:

Arny Vee???????:wave2: We've missed you!!!!

We stayed in a studio 4th floor wooded view. Very peaceful and I liked being higher up. Just make sure you're not toooo far from the elevator or it could be a hike with groceries.

You might want to ask for a pool view, I think that looked nice but I think there were fewer rooms.

Wherever you end up, have a great time!

Hey Annie!

Actually, I heard that there were no real views of the Magic Kingdom and limited views at best of the fireworks from the Villas, is that true?

So, the higher the better? Closer to elevators...good hint. Especially since I'll have to carry the baby's things. And, I have to choose between a pool or wooded view, huh? Sheesh...not sure which way to go there.

Oh well, if anyone else has any suggestions...please respond.

This should help...VWL is terrific!

Here is a link with some room reports and it will give you some view comments. http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/wildernesslodge.pdf This will give you an idea of “sectional views”. It is extremely difficult to ask for a specific room (as well as trying on the CM’s). With the new room ready policy, guests have reported getting several choices at check-in and this may than help

I have also created a sheet that just has some highlights of rooms that may not work for everyones needs. You might find that helpful instead:

The files are in adobe acrobat and which can be downloaded from this site for free:

Wow, this is great stuff Sandy! Thanks a lot! This is perfect for our trip!

Do you or anyone else have anything like this for the other DVC resorts for future trips?

Based on our one stay I would ask for anything but ground floor. On our stay I was just about to open the patio door and sit out on the patio when a snake went over our patio. That was enough to keep me indoors!

Here is the room report links for BWV and BCV. I know Dorothy was starting one for OKW. Apparently there is debate over if I should have been given the map. I am trying to get BCV and BWV but having trouble.

Wow, that is some great information.
Do you know if this same info is available for the other DVC resorts? Peggie

Sandy, what was the debate over giving out a room map?

thanks

The manager on duty seemed to feel it was a possible security issue and there was no need for a "guest" to have. I explained I wouldn't buy a shore house without a floorplan and lot marking, my fault for not asking the same of DVC sooner. It had been a long week and I honestly wasn't up for the fight. MS has told me no problem but sent me the checkin map given to all guests. I am planning to put a call into my guide this week, once I unearth my desk from the week away.

Security Issue seems like a sham to me - if someone wanted to find a specific room number they could walk the halls - someone with bad intent does not need a map

thanks

If 4556 is a dumpster view, why aren't 2556, 3556, and 5556 dumpster views?

This is from dvc room report highlights.
