VWL room suggestions

We're heading for a 2 bedroom at the VWL in a mere six weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions on requests for a quiet room, with a nice view (possibly overlooking trees / lake)?

ask for on the lake side (does not mean lake view) - all the bad views are on the other side.

you have a better chance of getting a lake view.

there are few views of the lake and pool - but I think less than 5% of the resort?

also near the elevators - but being on the lake side is more important than being near the elevators.

"All the bad views" would presumably be the couple of villas overlooking the maintenance/dumpster area? You make it sound like that side of the resort is nothing but bad views!

For the most part, what you will have as a view at VWL is trees, no matter what side of the resort you are on. You might have some additional view features like the quiet pool (which isn't always "quiet") or a glimpse of the lake from a couple of villas, or a view of the walkway from WL, but mostly you'll see trees, as befitting the resort theming.

I'd focus on things like smoking/non-smoking first...but that's just me.

Granny - since the hurricanes lots of the woods view on the lake side now include a little view of the lake,

woods are nice - but I prefer to look at water - even between trees.

there are a couple of more bad views - one close to the elevators looks at the roof (where you walk under).

another gets you views of the buses.

VWL is such a small resort, hope everyone that walks in the door doesn't ask for or expect those coveted water views. It will make for many a dissapointed DVCer .
