VWL requests with online checkin

We have a one bedroom reserved for Christmas. Dvc offered to move us, but we declined. I have always requested close to elevator, pool view. We have pretty much always gotten it. With all the impending construction I'm not sure I want a pool view??? If you were me, what would you request? Just trying to think this through.

I would request a different resort, which we did. If Disney is moving wl and vwl guests at their cost, you can bet that they expect the construction to be mess for guests with noise, dust, who knows what. I was also told if we were offered and didn't move, resort management was notified and no compensation will be offered later.

We are also there and opted for compensation rather than moving, as we thought it over and decided that was the better option for us as we are in the parks all day anyway.

For requests, we went with bus stop side as that should face away from construction .

Bill, proximity to MK was important to us. We were offered beach club, and I was tempted but we opted to remain at VWL. If it were a one in a lifetime trip it would be different, but we'll be back. We did receive 2 extra FP's per day for our family of 5. I feel like that will come in handy during Christmas week. Our kids are teenagers, so no worries about midday naps or anything.

We received a room credit per night of our stay there.

I think the construction will be in full swing at that time to be honest.
