VWL Refurb from Several Years Ago

Hello All,

I am looking for advice from someone that has stayed at the VWL- BRV in the last year.

We have not stayed at our beloved VWL in several years. The last time we stayed there was just after the last refurbishment. The cheap / shoddy work was appalling. I know, who cares if the outside of the cabinets are off white and the inside is forest green. But the off white was already peeling off and the green was showing through. The appliances were cheap and did not work well. The whole look of the room was cheap workmanship. I liked the new couch, curtains and other soft goods. The old patterns were getting dated and tired to me.

My friend, sister and I are going to Disney World next Feb for the Princess Marathon. Should I keep my reservation at VWL - Boulder Ridge Villas or will I still be disappointed? Have repairs been made to the poor refurb.? I would be embarrassed to show my sister and friend the VWL that I saw the last time we were there.

I need to change my reservation in three days. Any advice will be appreciated.

I stayed there about a year and a half ago, it wasn't too bad, I agree with you I liked the theming a WHOLE lot better before the refurbishment. I hate that Disney keeps trying to lighten everything up because supposedly everyone is complaining that all the rooms are too dark. I would keep your reservation for Princess. Or maybe you should cancel it so I can get a room night there? :)

Seems that all resort refurbs are getting the same treatment, not great quality, less theming, and light colored walls.

IMO they put the theming in the new resorts to attract more direct buyers.
