VWL question

how long is the boat ride to the MK? how often do they come? is that the preferred way to get to the MK or is the bus? trying to decide between an AKL or VWL stay. going away with 3 5 year olds and knowing we have to bus to 3 of the 4 parks no matter what trying to see if its a major difference is between the travel to the MK. thanks for your help!

The boat runs every 20 minutes or so. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get to the MK. Unless it is a really crowded time, we always take the bus to the MK. Its only about 10 min max. The boat is a great way to get back to the WL.

As tigergrad indicated, the boat runs every 20 minutes or so...we've never had a very long wait for the boat. We always take the boat, and the 5 year olds may look at it as an attraction all by itself. We haven't tried the bus yet since we are rarely in much of a hurry to get anywhere at WDW.

so besides the general trill of a boat time wise between both resorts going to the MK might be marginal with in 5 to 10 minutes....

The boats are a fun way to get to and from MK with generally minimal delays. Buses usually are relatively quick, as well. Keep in mind that you can also boat to CR and monorail from there. It's not as efficient as the bus but at least an option for change's sake. It also opens up more dining possibilities than you will find at AKL. Both resorts are lovely, however.
