WE ARE TAKING 2 TRIPS THIS YEAR JUNE&DEC.THE TRIP IN DEC WE ARE BOOKED FOR THE VWL.MY DH WANTS TOGO TO THE BWV.WE HAVE NEVER BEEN IN WDW IN DEC,CAN ANYONE ADVISE WHICH WOULD BE A BETTER CHOICE.

If you are chosing between those two for Christmas, both will be wonderful, but I just love the Wilderness Lodge Christmas decor!

We will alternate our December trips between VWL and BWV. Last year we went to VWL where the decorations are outstanding and the whole atmosphere lends itself to Christmas theme. We did the MVMCP and it was very easy to get back "home."

However, staying at BWV makes the Candlelight Processional and hopefully the Osborn lights just a quick boatride or walk away, so that's where we're staying this year. I know the boardwalk is decorated for Christmas, but we've not seen it yet, so we're going to be surprised!

Personally I feel the WL can't be beat for Christmas atmosphere. It's just a warm, cozy, festive feeling there in Dec. But I'm sure either will be fine. Bobbiwoz made a good point about BWV being close to the Osbourne Lights and CP if this is important to you. Good luck with your decision.

It truly boils down to personal choice! We own at BWV and stay there in early December just because reservations are so tough to get that time of year - personally, I can't stand the "stress" of the waitlist.

Even though we stay at the BWV, we always try to visit the other deluxe resorts to see the Holiday decorations. WL is truly beautiful, but then so is the BWV/BWI. We also love those in the YC/BC/BCV and the GF and the AKL! It would be very hard to pick a favorite! I could easily be happy in any of those places.

If this were my family, I'd try to switch to BWV just please DH. (Somehow the trips just go better when he is happy, LOL). If I couldn't make the change (due to no availability and as mentioned, I don't risk the very important early December trip by using the waitlist, LOL), I'd tell him so. Then I'd plan a special trip to the Boardwalk area to see all the resort decorations. You could go after Illuminations one night or after Fantasmic/Osborne Lights or even plan a special dinner at one of the BW restaurants, followed by an evening at JellyRolls.

If you've never been at this time you are in for a TREAT! No matter where you stay, I'm postive you and your DH will love the resort and the festive atmosphere. I'd rather go to WDW in early December than any other time of the year, bar none!

Best wishes -
