Hi.
I'm looking for the best locations for a 1 and 2 bdrm together or near each other. Convenience is key with this big group. Would 2nd-4th floor rooms over the atrium be nice or are they noisy? Would first floor rooms be a better convenience for quick all-around access?

I also just found the link to villa floor plans (thank you) and noticed 4504-4511 offer best views to lake. I also see stairs, vending, and elevator nearby making a great convenience, but are they generally noisy?

We just stayed in 4511 which was a dedicated two bedroom. The view was just spectacular. We loved the location, got off the elevator, took a right, past the stairs and vending machine then our room. The ONLY drawback to this room was in the master bedroom when we got into bed at night we could hear the dull noise of the elevator. But someone else on this board posted they stayed in that room and never noticed it. Even with that one complaint, I would love to get this room again. Last year we were on the 3rd floor, same view, but it was not a dedicated two bedroom, we were in a 1 bedroom lock-off.

Wow, thank you so much for your personal input.

it looks like that room is a 1bdrm lockoff to a studio, not a dedicated 2 bdrm. But then again, they don't actually show the 3rd and 4th floor plans.
I wonder if 4507 would be better. It looks to be the same type room but 1 room further from elevators.
More comments welcome.

I'm sure 4507 would be nice. We had I think 3507 last year, a lock off. I think I liked the fourth floor a little more, a little more view. One thing I forgot to mention was our master bedroom in 4511 had vaulted ceilings, very nice. but 4511 was definitely a dedicated 2-br.

I'm sure you're aware of this, but getting your request down to a specific room or two is a recipe for disappointment.

In my opinion, one of the best things about VWL is that the importance of room location is minimized there compared to other DVC resorts at WDW. It's a relatively small resort, so even the furthest room from the elevators is really not that long of a walk. Almost all the rooms look out at the woods as their primary view.

Other than the maintenance area view (dubbed as the "dumpster view" by some), all the views are great.

As for the noise, we've never been bothered by noise at all at VWL. Maybe we've been lucky with the neighbors. :)

Some people think VWL is too quiet.

What studios would be best for a family that will be going to MK most of the time? Can you get to the path to get around the lodge & to the boat dock/ferry transportation with a room near the pool? Or do you have to go through the lodge & out to get to the boat dock/ ferry?

Thanks for any suggestions!:wave2:

Thanks everyone.
I promise this group won't be dissappointed by any room in this beautiful resort. I figure it doesn't hurt to ask.

The quickest way would be to exit near the quiet pool at VWL and walk around it and the WL on the outside. Close to the elevator will be your shortest walk there.

Just checked out of 4507, it is a dedicated 2 bedroom.
Excellent location and view (IMO).
