Yikes! I check in tomorrow (moving over from BCV) - hoping they’re getting everything fixed asap - nobody wants the dreaded call from DVC saying you need to move rooms or worse yet, resortsGot a call while at AK today from a staff member at WL
He said we had a leak in our room and asked us to pack up and move to another room
2weeks worth of stuff just unpacked last night and moved to room 4545
We didn’t ask for compensation but they gave us $1768 back to our charging at front desk, basically rack rate fir one night in a 2 bed
What’s concerning, another couple was moved yesterday from 4th floor to 3rd after we mentioned it on the elevator
Sure hope everything holds up
Yes in the Boulder Ridge Pool area there is an area to change and shower. Enjoy your trip!Hi, does Wilderness Lodge/BR have a guest area to change and shower near the pool? I have a late flight and will be swimming w kids at the resort. TIA
Bummer but interesting Jimmy. We had water leaking into our VWL room this past April. We had one of the atrium 2BR's with the different layout. After we reported and it was looked at we came back to find towels laid out to soak up the water and that evening and next day could hear some work being done in the room above us. It wasn't a lot in our room so we weren't moved and the location didn't bother us as it was just along the wall dividing the living area and 2nd bedroom.Got a call while at AK today from a staff member at WL

We saw a family moving out of one of the atrium rooms, 4519, the same day we had water issues in our new room. 4519 is the room we were in that had the water leaking into it! Does't sound great that they still were having issues. We saw a family moving out of one of the atrium rooms, 4519, the same day we had water issues in our new room. And as mentioned, a family on the elevator a few days before had to move too.
The new room they moved us too, 4545 had a leak from the sprinkler head from the room above. We sure didn't want to have to move again this trip! We threw down towels and Maint. was able to locate the break from our shower light by pulling it down and spotting it from there. They went upstairs and tore into it. The head Maint. guy seemed to know the problem to be a recurring thing as he went immediately to that light to seek out the problem.
My experience in construction tells me they are going to eventually have to shut down and make necessary repairs rather than putting band aids on the issues.
BTW, saw a few groupies around the Lodge the last few days!
Love hearing that some of you were able to connect!Mrs Granny and I have been here for a few days, and despite having a very laid back trip I haven’t checked in with you all. Sorry about that.
We are in villa 5557, which is the last villa down the long hall on the top floor. As we knew when we were assigned the top floor, we Have the old style sleeper/sofa even though no slanted ceiling and the Murphy bed would have fit fine I think. It really makes no difference to us since we don’t use it to sleep. The nice part of this assignment is the view.

The weather continues to get warmer each day with today heading towards the high 70’s. I managed to forget to pack my shorts so I’m sweating out the blue jeans today. Mrs Granny said this is a good excuse to shop but I really don’t need more shorts. We are only here for a couple more days anyway.
The Lodge is beautifully decorated as always. No signs of any cutbacks in decorations that we noticed. Here are the obligatory tree pix.

We ran into Jimmy and company when we arrived. And for you long-timers, we also spent time with DiznyDi and DiznyDad (Di and Rich). We have spent little time in the parks, and foresee this as our usual mode when it is just us here. We are bringing the grandkids in April and all bets are off on any kind of relaxing trip then!
I’m pretty sure that none of the 5th floor villas have the large Murphy bed. We just had our 3rd stay (Since the refurb) in a fifth floor villa and just the old style sleeper sofa each time. Can someone remind me again...which rooms have the pull out and not the murphy bed?
All of the 5th floor?
And then some on the 4th floor? Which ones?
1st-3rd are all murphy beds then?
When I get my room assignment via the app on check-in day, I want to know what we have. (Because if no murphy, I'll need to see if they can switch us.)

In the section behind the elevators (the rooms closest to WL), there are only four floors. I’m not sure if those fourth floor rooms, which are the top floor in that section, have the Murphy or traditional sleeper. There are room maps on page 1 of this thread if you want to capture the room numbers there just in case.
I think if that Murphy bed is your top priority, you should make it your primary request. Or just ask for lower floors. Good luck with your trip!
