VWL December 2008 - Who Will Be There?

we will first be arriving at SSR Dec 13- 20 then over to our home resort VWL Dec 20- 30!!!!!!

I think GF would be a wonderful place to stay! VWL is no good that time of year! And, really, it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm waitlisted at VWL for those days!

We'll be there 12/17-12/26....the first time at VWL and DS's first Xmas!

Thank you for finding us! We have added a day to our trip and are now arriving on the 15 of December through the 19th. We hope to get the 14 added also, but are waiting.

We are sooooo looking forward to visiting The Villa's at Wilderness Lodge. Sounds great saying that.

I hope we'll be there! We are waitlisted for Nov 30-Dec 4. We stayed there for the first time in April and absolutely loved it! I would love, love, love to be there with all of the Christmas decorations this year! Keeping my fingers crossed!

I know WildernessDad will welcome you, but I just happen to click on this thread, lamenting the fact that this will be our first December that we will not be at VWL since 2000. So sad.

I digress , Wow, owner since 2001 AND a nice low post count!! Double Wow! We spent our first (actual) Christmas at VWL last year and it was wonderful. Enjoy!

We have been at the beginning of Dec. and I know how amazing the decorations are. That was our first stay as DVC owners (DEC 2002) @ VWL, my DD6, was only 9 months. She and DS3 are so looking forward to this trip. I know it will be packed for Christmas but still soooo excited.

We are all so excited, not sure who is more excited me or the kids!!! Christmas Day we are having breakfast at Whispering Canyon, then dinner at Artist Point, we have never been to Artist Point before. We plan on spending that whole day @ the Lodge!

We did that last Christmas, entire day at the Lodge, eating, watching people, eating, watching people, eating....

Yes, Dec at WL is incredible, but I think Christmas day is really something special. We won't do it again for a long time (could not believe how many points it ate!), but it was very special last year. We are going to VWL Jan 3rd. Hoping the decorations will be up and that we will get to witness them coming down. We haven't done that yet!

The Groupie thread loves trip reports and pictures, if anyone feels inclined to do so.

In 2005 we did a Christmas day DCL cruise. It was cheaper than staying at DVC

Thanks Wilderness Dad! We were sad about it too, but we are planning to go April 4-12, 2009 to VWL and take our friends that we had hoped to take at Christmas, so that is all that matters.
