Vwl/ blt?

We on at AKV. We are planning a big 3 week vacation with friends for 1 - 20th December 2013 I know we like to plan ahead!!

What do you think the chances will be of getting either a 2 bed villa at WL or BLT (MK view) at the 7month window? We don't mind doing a split stay so if we only get 7 nights and can not get any more this is fine, we'll stay at MK resort for a week and then move out to Kidani.

Book the entire vacation at AKV, and switch half to another resort at 7 months. If you get it great, if not, you still have AKV.

Definitely book at AKV at exactly 11 months. The month of December is very popular for DVC and you would hate to risk being blocked out at your home resort. Then you need to call exactly at 7 months at 9AM (EST) and see what is available.

Use the waitlist if nothing is available and you may get lucky. I would think that MK view at BLT would be difficult during that time of year, even with a waitlist. If you really have your heart set on staying at BLT during that time, you would have a better chance at getting LV if you have to waitlist. You are allowed two waitlists, so you could do LV and MK view and see what happens.

I suppose that if I were planning your stay, I would be thinking that I had the best chance of a BLT lake view at the 7 month mark. Definitely book AKV and hope for the best!

Thanks for your responses everyone. We will definitely be booking at AKV at the 11month window and then it will just be take pot luck.

I don't think we mind if we get to stay at the VWL or BLT, both would be wonderful for Christmas time. Although BLT has the added perk of 3 bathrooms like Kidani and I really want to go to the TOWL to see the fireworks or watch them from our balcony. I guess if we can not get either I'd put in a waitlist for VWL and one for BLT Lake View and see which comes up.

VWL is hard to get for the holidays if you don't own there. BLT MK view is tough to get if you don't own there. The best you can do is call at exactly 7 months out when MS opens for the day.
