VWL Availability in October?????

I'm interesting in reserving a 1 or 2 Bedroom at VWL for October 2007 most likely the week of Halloween. My home resort is OKW. I was wondering what the availability of VWL is during this time. I know that BCV and BWV usually is hard to get during this time because of the Food & Wine Festival. I was just curious if the F&W Fesitival affected availability at VWL.

I'm not sure if I should take the chance and make my reservation at VWL at the 7 month window or should I trade reservations with someone who has VWL has his/her home resort that way he/she can make reservations at VWL at the 11 month window for me and I can make reservations at OKW at the 11 month window for him/her.

Any suggestions????

I think you should make your reservation at 11 months at your home resort, then switch it over to the VWL at 7 months. Start on a day by day basis at 7 months. I think it will be available. If it's not, wait-list and you will get it from people switching from the VWL to the BWV/BCV for the F&W festival.

Why don't you call tomorrow and see if it's still available for 2006? If it still is, it would give you an idea of what you need to do next year so you can stop worrying.

We've stayed at VWL twice in Oct. I made both ressies at the 7 month window. We usually are there during mid-October for the Funai Golf Classic. I have never had to waitlist. Once I was even able to add an additional night. Try it. I would make an OKW ressie at the 11-month window and then make the change at the 7 month window.

I was able to switch my SSR ressie to WVL for a 2br @ 7 months with no problem for oct 15-20 2006. I called day by day just in case.

In October, it seems most everyone - even some VWL owners - is clamoring to get into BWV or BCV. I think your chances of switching at seven months are good. Even if you needed to waitlist, I could see the waitlist coming through quickly as VWL switch elsewhere successfully.

Thanks. I was hoping that would be that case that in Oct everyone would be trying to get into BCV or BWV.
