VWL at 7 months out

We are planning our first trip to Disney over Halloween. Our last few trips have been around Christmas so we are looking forward to Halloween and the Food and Wine Festival. We are hoping to stay at the VWL for the first time. What is some of your experience with getting a studio at VWL at the 7 month window? We hope to check in on October 29th and spend 6 nights. Thanks for any information you can offer.

I just noticed the thread very similiar to mine asking about 2 bedrooms at the VWL. Would it be more difficult to get a studio than a one or two bedroom in your opinion?

I have read on these boards that studios go first followed by 2BR's with 1BR's usually being the last to go.

I think you'll get what you need. Maybe you should make a reservation at your home resort now and switch at 7 months. Call right away and even consider doing day by day because of Halloween. At least call on the first day and ask the CM how it looks.
