We have a reservation for a 2BR LO at VWL in Jan. My SIL and BIL will be joining with us for their first trip to WDW. The only requests we made when making the reservation was for a non-smoking LO. DS will be sleeping in the living room and LO will allow IL's to come and go as they want.

Since this is their first trip, I am trying to do everything I can to make it magical. BIL wasn't to keen on the idea of a WDW trip but seems to be warming to the idea of staying at the VWL.

Would anyone care to share room experiences..likes, dislikes, etc so I can put in a room request?

FYI, last year we stayed in a dedicted 2BR with pool view (Room 4545). If we leaned out the balcony, we could just see the edge of the pool area. At night we were able to see a bit of the water parade through the trees. On the whole, we liked this room and wouldn't mind having something similar or better.

Thanks! :wave2:

I would request something on the lake/pool side of the resort. This will guard against a dumpster view, or being able to see any busses. It also may get you a pool/lake view.

The fifth floor has vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom and living room, if you like that.
Be careful on the fifth floor, though. I believe that's the floor that has a few balconies that are enclosed. You must stand in order to see over the solid wall railing.
My least favorite part about the fifth floor is the lack of the atrium (you can't look down into the VWL entrance).

Good luck! :drinking:
