VS027/28 Delays

I have been checking the flight times recently as our travel date gets nearer...(and I hate travel delays)

This week VA have obviously been having some problems. The smallest delay leaving Gatwick in the past few days has been 1 hour - today the 11.15 flight didnt leave until 14.20

Also noticed VS28 didnt leave until after midnight the other day instead of the 16.50 scheduled time.

We arent going until Sunday week but it isnt looking promising.

We're flying on VS015/016 from Gatwick. Haven't been checking departure times yet but now I think I'd better had.

We had a 3-4 hour delay last year on the outbound flight. The worst bit was arriving at WDW Pop Century after all the hot food outlets had closed and having to phone out for a pizza, as we were starving.

Here's hoping VA get themselves sorted out

We had several hrs delay in May with VA out of Manchester.
Apparently they knew before hand and it was due to plane change overs and normal for that week.

Not even an apology when we finally boarded. I was fairly laid back over it, but I had earache from the DH
Dreadful flights all round we thought. Many of the IFES were broken. I initially thought our opinions were due to our own subjectiveness as we have recently had fab flights on Emirates and BA (not US).

But...when I think about it, I have had great flights to Orlando on the MyTravel with the downstairs toilets in the past (one of the best US flights I have ever had)....and with the old Brittania now Thompsons.........so....shape up Sir Richard!

But as long as we all get safely to Orlando.........the Mouse makes up for it

Had a 1 hr 55 minute delay on the VS15 last Friday, but XL Airways 12.00 flight was scheduled to leave at 5.00 pm! on the Thursday and the Friday! so not all bad Virgin!

Weathers been good so far, went to KSC today which was really good fun .... broke the golden rule on arrival and got talked into an upgrade on the Alamo desk ............... an H3 Hummer ... boys are happy!!!!

Parks are really busy but FL kids go back on the 18th so hoping for a quieter second week.

Can I just ask Why????, why do that to yourself. It isn't like you can do anything about it, you still have to check in at the checkin time, so why worry yourself before hand checking them out. We all hate delays, but not much we can do about them.

Todays flights went on time

The reason I check is because I dont like elays and want to be prepared.

For instance if it looked very likely a delay would happen I would pre-book a lounge..

It looks as though the late running Gatwick plane was swapped to the Manchester route on 13th, as there was a couple of hours delay on VS76 on the 13th which caused a delay on the outbound VS75 on the 14, whicj I was on
