Well,
Virgin's flight number VS076 departing Orlando international on Sunday (30th) is the last flight of the Manchester (and Virgins) 747-200 series.
Now I know as time has gone by, they have paled against new upstarts, but lkets shed a tear of the loss of Club Orlando and the aircraft which succeeded in making Brits go to WDW in their droves.

Without Virgins 747-200, the like sof TCD, First Choice etc would have taken longer and been more of a cattle class then they are.

so long old chums, its been nice flying on you...........

Hi we are flying on that flight out of Manchester on May 14th do you know what planes they will be using now i didn't know it was the last flight i hope it will be as good as the 747 please help if you can

PAtsy,

No need to worry about this, basically if flying with Virgin you will be on the newer 747-400 rather than the 747 Classic which were off to a Russian company the last i knew. It is only an improvement as far as your concerned, you should be able to view other threads on the subject that have been posted recently incuding the seating config. If you have a window seat, take a look at the Union flag on the beautifully crafted winglets.

Yes, it will either be one of the Gatwick 747's or one of the Heathrow 747's which are being reseated to the gatwick configuration.

So,
G-VLIP "Hotlips" is doing the Man-MCO route for Virgin.
It seems that the other two aircraft for the moment on the Manchester route are
G-VAST "Ladybird" will join the circuit on 15th June once it comes back from being reconfigured from LHR format to LGW format

G-VTOP "Virginia Plain"
