Thinking of booking this but wondered if it is worth it?

Is it true that there is another way to the planes when you flight is called so it saves time?

No you still go the same way to get your plane..We prefer the Number 1 lounge at Gatwick to the V-room any day....

Love the VRoom, especially if you have kids as they have a great area with games, pcs etc etc. The food and drink available for you to help yourself to are also really really good. Enjoyed watching the planes too

Well worth the money in my opinion :goodvibes

We really like the Vroom, as we go in August the terminal is absolutely packed and the Vroom has a nice, relaxed feeling compared to that. Plus, its nice to sit and watch the planes :thumbsup2

I would say 'it depends'

If you are doing twilight check in and staying overnight at the airport then probably not especially if you are on the early flight.

It is more value on the later flight or if you are not checking till the morning of the flight.

Last time we had breakfast at the Hilton (part of our tesco clubcard booking) then went through about 9am. By the time we were through and had been in the Duty free our flight was being called - so we only spend enough time in the departure lounge for me to use the toilets!

We did use it in 2009 as we were on the 1pm flight and had a room only booking so we got value out of the food offerings and it was a nice place to sit and while away the hours.

We love the V Room

I haven't tried the other lounges as we normally end up getting this free as part of a special offer for early booking etc

Personally I like to just sit somewhere that is calm and peaceful with a cup of coffee and a newspaper before boarding the plane :goodvibes

I have always found the staff in there to be excellent as well

We are trying the VA Clubhouse for our trip in October as we have booked flights directly with VA so couldn't use the V Room. Be interesting to see what that's like

We haven't been in the v room (yet) but have used the clubhouse at both Heathrow and Gatwick. They are really very good. At Gatwick I had a manicure and DH had a massage. The Kir Royale (alcohol was incuded then at clubhouse - not sure if it is now) is delicious! :goodvibes

I agree with others that they are a lovely way to start your holiday - no fighting for a seat in a crowded and noisy departure lounge and the food is always nice too. in short yes, definately worth it! :)

Wondering what the one will be like at Manchester ...cant wait for some reviews of it

OOOHH - the Clubhouse is just fabulous - was there in October and LOVED it
Just be mindful that during the time between check-in and boarding if there are a lot of flights going then it can get V busy - we popped out to do a bit of duty free shopping around 11am and couldnt find anywhere to sit when we got back.
Couldnt fault it though - if only we could use it everytime we fly :rotfl:
