VRBO question

When you rent a condo from vrbo.com is the picture the actual decorations, bedspreads, furniture etc. that is in the condo? I am thinking of renting a condo at the Blue Heron from the VRBO website and there is not any guest comments so I am a little scared. Just wondering if the furnishings are what is in the standard pictures.

We've rented through vrbo several times and always found the accommodations to be as they appeared in the pictures. The owner should tell you if there have been any changes since he last posted the pics. Also, do not be afraid to email the owner and request references. Sometimes they just haven't been posted. He should easily be able to provide them for you.

We have rented from VRBO many times and the furnishings always look just like the pictures posted online. None of the homes we've rented have had online referrals. One homeowner told us they are not worth a lot because they are easily changed if the homeowner is dishonest.

It is always better to check with the individual owner as some resorts have generic photos taken which can be used by any owner. I do know of a few owners who use these type of photos on their adverts, including on VRBO, so I would recommend that you ask the questions. A reputable owner will have no problem answering all the questions you have and confirming whether the photos are of their actual home - also when they were taken.

We rented a condo and the photos were accurate. WYSIWYG when you're renting from an individual owner vs. a larger rental agency. My DH liked the condo so much he wants to retire to the area (well be a snowbird). Fish in FL and fish in MN during the summers!
