VR-the Dress????

Carrie not sure if I told you yet, but I love your dress. You looked stunning! Jensey and Nathan did a wonderful job as usual. I will most likely try to use them for my VR this time around. Of course I have to wait a few years.....

Hey, thanks! I can't wait to see your photos! :goodvibes

uh oh...I'm going to be 'that girl' :scared:n and wear a big princess dress for my VR...:rotfl2: I'm from Jersey... I can't help it that's just me. :rolleyes1 As far as etiquette I think that kind of has to go out the window as far as a VR is concerned. There are so many rules of etiquette that I'm sure every single VR bride is going to break at least one of them. I've heard so many things about dress, veil, the amount of years, veil etc. LOTS of 'rules'...too many actually.. Some may even scoff at a VR all together as not being very 'appropriate' but you know what...who cares what other people think...:confused3 right? I think if you are paying for a special moment for you and your spouse that's a beautiful thing and you do whatever you want:thumbsup2 To be honest when I bought the dress (my VR is two years away...:scared:) I was at first looking at a simple little short white dress but that's not me...and I thought...why wear something that isn't me just because someone might 'think' I was being tacky? Besides if someone is going to whisper behind your back about breaking rules of etiquette they certainly won't attend the VR at all...I say wear what is your taste, and what you like! The VR gowns pictured on this thread are GORGEOUS BTW...

I am SO that girl. This is the dress that I've picked for our vow renewal in December. I did not think a veil would be appropriate but once I put it on I knew it was coming home with me. To heck with the rules!

Lynette, Best of luck finding your perfect dress, the one that makes you feel great and puts a big smile on your husbands face. :lovestruc

Thanks for the great ideas- LOVE all the dresses posted! :-)

FIERCE! I LOVE your gown, mine is actually a very similar style!! LOVE those princess dresses!

Where what makes you feel beautiful - that's the only "rule" :goodvibes

We thought about a vow renewal for our 10th, but since we were married in Disney we thought Vegas or Mexico would be fun. I really do not think we'll do it - for one thing I'll be in grad school during our 10th and can't take away the time - but if we did do it, I would go Over The Top! I love this gown and although it's not my typical style I cannot stop thinking about it:

This is a pic of my VR dress for our 10th in January. The wrap is optional. The dress is strapless. We were originally having our VR in April, but had to switch it. So now I purchased a 3/4 length sleeve ivory bolero jacket for the new January date. Don't want to freeze my tush off :cool2: And, yes, I am wearing red shoes.

gorgeous!!!!

I wish I could post a picture. I bought two dresses. One from Kyonnia that was tea length that I never wore (found out my husband is not a fan of lace). The other from Nordstrom that was full length. It was quite expensive but I looked at it a couple of times a week. It was a soft white that had ruching around the waist and soft pleats across the bust line. It went from $400 to $99 on clearance. I bought it and it was perfect for our 25th year vow renewal. I really felt like a bride. It was from JS Collection.

I'm looking for a flowy/beachy type gown. we are renewing on castaway next year.. I want it to move in the breeze... full length.

Hi, we are renewing our vows in two weeks I'm wearing a cream, all lace, flare knee length dress.

Just started looking for something tea length, in blush. Hard to find. So far. Ours will be for 25. I'm not looking to replace my wedding dress but for a dress that makes me feel pretty, flirty, and is age appropriate.
