Vow renewals?

Does anyone have info on vow renewals in Disney? We are planning a trip for next Oct and plan on stay at the Poly. We would love to renew our vows while we are there as a few other members of our family will be down at the same time. I see a lot of wedding info on the Disney site but nothing about vow renewals. Has anyone does this? If so can you provide price info? Also any details on the ceremony etc? Any info is greatly appreciated. There will probably be approx 12 people including us and our kids.

Hi! I responded over on the resort board:

We had a Memories vow renewal at the GF in 2010. With the Memories package you have a choice of a few locations including luau beach at the Poly. In terms of pricing, Disney treats vow renewals the same as weddings so the pricing you see on the site would apply. There is also a Poly location for the Escape package - Sunset Pointe.

With 12 people you'd be over the Memories limit but maybe you'd be interested in an Escape. Although iirc Sunset Pointe has a guest limit but I can't remember the exact count. Good luck!!

Essentially, the vow renewals follow the exact same pricing as the weddings - Disney treats them no differently. We are actually doing ours on DCL, but have found there is very little difference.

Wow, thats surprising that they price them the same. Thank you both so much for the info!!!! I actually think we might end up at 10 people exactly, which category would that fall under?

For 10 that would be Escape, as Memories you can only have a maximum of 6 including you and your husband.

12 people would be an Escape event. Disney is strict about the guest count.

I have read about people chartering one of the boats for the fireworks cruise and renewing their vows on the boat...Im guessing its not really official as Im not sure who would be presiding over it. Has anyone done this?
