Hi, I just wondered if anyone can help, I have looked on the Disney wedding site for prices for Vow renwals and it looks as though the minimum price for this would be $3,500 for an intimate package, or $7,500 for the custome package. Is it really this expensive or is there a cheaper way of doing a vow renewal? My parents have a house in Cleremont so I dont really want the hotel stay, but it looks as though you have to stay at Disney?
Also, does anyone else know of anywhere really special apart from Disney in the area for vow renewal? (its for 2006)
Thanks
Jo x

Jo,

Unfortunately, throught WDW, there is no less expensive option. You could check the Swan and Dolphin hotel, which is on Disney property, if you still want the Disney magic, without the Disney price tag, so to speak. They have packages available that do not require resorts stays. The Swan and Dolphin are located in the Epoct resort area. Swan and Dolphin Weddings

We had planned on doing a Disney vow renewal, but decided against it because of the cost and value. Instead, we are staying at the Grand Floridian Sugar Loaf Concierge, but having the ceremony off Disney property. Our ceremony will be at Leu Gardens @ 11:30 AM. After the ceremony, we are having tea at the Garden View Lounge at the GF, followed later by a dinner at Citricos. It will be just the 5 of us(DH, DS-15, DD-14 & DD-3). I estimate that the cost of the minister(Rev. Tim), photographer(Randy Chapman), flowers(Wedding Flowers by Blossom), facility rental fee(for Leu Gardens) tea, dinner and wedding cake will be approximately $1450.00. This of course does not include the room at GF, dresses or tuxes, shoes, hair and make-up by Disney Cosmetology.
I booked everything individually myself. It is much cheaper that way, rather than working with a planner.
This was the right choice for us and for our budget.
Good luck to you whatever you decide!!

Here is the website for Leu Gardens. www.leugardens.org
They can accomodate large outdoor weddings as well as small vow renewal ceremonies. It is a beautiful place.
