Vow Renewal--what did you wear?

Hi everyone! I found this board several weeks ago and have loved reading trip reports and seeing all the beautiful pictures. Thanks for all the great ideas!

My DH and I are planning an intimate vow renewal (15 years) at the WP as part of a family vacation next April. Our children--two sons ages 12 and 9 and a daughter age 8--will be there with us as well as, hopefully, 2 or 3 very close friends. I'm planning to wear a white tea length dress (maybe a shortened gown), although I haven't yet found THE dress. But I am having fun looking around! :) My daughter is wearing white, "flower girl" dress with a beaded top, poufy skirt, and a pink sash. (Our flowers will be pink.)

But what I'm not sure about is what the guys should wear. I think tuxes will be too formal so I'm thinking of white shirts with pink ties and khaki pants for my sons and the same outfit plus a blue blazer for my husband. I'm still not 100% sure about this option though. I love pink, but don't know if the pink ties may be too much...

Anyone want to share what your family/DH wore--either for a vow renewal or a more informal wedding?

Thanks!

Jen L.

My stepson was married last August in Chicago and wore a khaki suit, white shirt and a tie that coordinated with the other colors of the wedding. His groomsmen wore khaki pants, white shirts and blue blazers, again ties coordinated with wedding colors. It looked very sharp and was a nice change from tuxes. Plus -- everyone was comfortable. How wonderful maybe you would like the ties to be the same color as your maid of honor. Would the men be ok with wearing pink? A deep pink   party: party: party: party: would look nice and inthe pictures also.

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! My DH and I celebrated our 25th last year with a custom VR at Disney and it was absolutely wonderful. At first, I thought I would wear something informal but we decided to do the Castle portraits so we went with a more formal look. Whatever you decide, I'm sure you will be beautiful on your special day!

Since it's a vow renewal, there won't be a maid of honor--just my daughter as the "flower girl", and I'd like the sash on her dress to be pink--bubblegum pink in fact. (She and I both love pink!) That's why I was thinking pink ties for the guys.

And since the only guys involved other than my husband are my sons (ages 12 and 8), they'll be happy to wear whatever I pick! :smooth: (They better be happy as we'll be in Disney for a week and only spending part of one day on the vow renewal!) ; - ) Honestly, they won't care--I'm just trying to decide if I'll like that "look" for pictures!

Regards,

Jen L.
