Vow Renewal Questions

Hi guys, I'm hoping you can help!

I'm looking at planning my vow renewal for 2013 (OK way ahead, but want to budget and make sure we invite people (possibly!) and I have no life )

The main questions that have come up so far, are stopping me thinking about where to go next, that's where you guys come in!

If we do an Escape Vow Renewal at Disney and don't have any guests, so just the 2 of us - we wouldn't be having a reception, what would you do? I was looking at restaurants - just not sure if this is the best option - don't want soup down my lovely gown!

Also if there's just the 2 of us, and I didn't really want hubby to see me before the ceremony, how do I get ready? Am I going to struggle to do this?

Also how do people get pictures with fireworks at night? Is this following a reception, or is this something you can add?

Final one for now... is the Magic Kingdom additional photo session, is this done on the same day as the wedding - morning of? What do you do between this and the ceremony?

A romantic dinner at a restaurant could be really fun - you could either change clothes or wear a bib!

Alternatively, you could schedule an Illuminations or Wishes cruise and order food (if you want) to be served on the boat. This would also help you get fireworks pictures!

Or you could just have a private meal in your room or on a patio/balcony at the Grand Floridan.

Sometimes couples get a cheapie room at a Value Resort for the groom to stay in the night before if they don't have friends/relatives for him to stay with. I've even heard of him being sent to a public restroom to change (and then to the lobby to wait, poor guy) to save $$ on the room and preserve the first look!

Usually they add a dessert party at Epcot during IllumiNations. But you can also charter the Grand 1 Yacht at the Grand Floridian to take you out during Wishes, make a reservation at California Grill before Wishes and go out on the viewing platform, or pose on the beach at the Polynesian during Wishes.

You can do it any day of your trip - it doesn't have to be your wedding day. Many people do it 2 days after the wedding, but some do it before their morning ceremony and use the time in between to eat, reapply makeup, nap, etc. I would not recommend doing it the day of your wedding - we did ours 2 days later and I was a zombie for the rest of the day!

I'm liking the idea of the illuminations/wishes cruise - but I didn't think we were allowed in the parks with our wedding attire?

If you pay for a dessert party in Epcot and you are escorted in (or hire transportation through Disney) you can wear your wedding clothes.

And since the Wishes cruises are outside the park, you can wear your outfits there too. Heck, you may even be allowed to wear them on an IllumiNations cruise, since the boats don't go into the park, just under the bridge.
