Vow Renewal question...

Have any of you actually done the vow renewal on the ship and if you did what were your thoughts on it? Is is worth the additional cost.

I'm looking into this for my 2006 cruise (as a surprise for my DH) it will be our 17th anniversary and since we were married so young and did not have a "real" wedding and no reception I thought this would be a great way to celebrate.

The actual ceremony would be on our 17th anniversary. We would be doing the cruise sans kids...so it would be just the 2 of us.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?

The vow renewal package I'm being quoted is about $1000 over top of the cruise cost.

Hi. My DH and I did the vow renewal on our 12/27/03-1/3/04 New Years cruise. We also were married young and got married by a JP. I always wanted a traditional wedding but couldn't afford it. So, I think that the price was worth paying for. The cost that you were quoted is what I paid for the ceremony. My DS was our best man. We have been married for 18 years now and still going strong. Oh how nice. I would love to do this. We have been amrried 13 years and did not have a wedding. This would be great to do on our 15th. We have been cruising every year so maybe we can plan one for our 15th anniversay. It is just real hard for me to get off of work in February.

What was included in this package?? We are going on a 7 night in Oct 2006 to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it has turned into a pretty big family reunion cruise... does the package include some sort of reception, etc?

so was yours a Wedding or a vow renewal?? I want this and my DH LOVES disney, and we don't have the $57,000, for the Park Wedding, and they do not do, small intimate weddings/vow renewals

I believe it includes the actual renewal, dinner a Palo, a cake, music, and some other things...I can't recall everything we discussed. I'm debating seriously on this.
