Hi Guys,

Im new to this,so apologies if im vague etc

I have already booked my first Disney Holiday for next Halloween and cannot wait!!:cool1:

Im looking at renewing my wedding vows with my husband while were out there... However, the prices are looking rather painful! Ouch!!

Can anyone give me any details or prices for a basic Disney vow renewal....
photography,cake etc..

I know this will sound silly but the more i think about having at Disney the more i really want to do it.
Thanks
Kenzie

Hi and welcome from a recent UK VR bride!!!
Unfortunately, DFTW does not distinguish between weddings and vow renewals and so the prices for the packages are exactly the same whether you are having a wedding or a VR.
Currently, the cheapest and smallest package offered by DFTW is the 'Memories' package which is for up to six people (including the happy couple), offers the very basics elements (it doesn't even include a cake) and cost $1991.00. I believe it is still uncertain whether this package will still be in place after Spring next year. The next package up is the 'Escape' and this varies in price according to the locations chosen, ceremony time and date booked and whether or not a private dining option is added.
My husband and I recently had our VR at the Swan (a hotel in WDW), Because the Swan is not a Disney-owned hotel (although it is on Disney property), the weddings/VR's there are not operated by DFTW but by a company called 'JustMarry'. Events at the SWan can work out at less than half what it would cost for a similar event through DFTW, and you are allowed a lot more flexiblity about things like floral, decoration and cake, than you get with the smaller DFTW packages.
The only things that Swan brides cannot do is have a MK bridal shoot, as this is reserved exclusively for DFTW's brides (although you can have a shoot with DPS at any other park in your bridal attire), and have use of Cinderella's carriage.
If these two things are not essential to you (as they weren't to us - too expensive!!!), then I highly recommend looking into having your event at the Swan. Our day was perfect for us!!!! We were given complete freedom over our choices of the details of our day, and it cost us less than half what it would have if going through DFTW. We were 100% happy with our choice of going through the Swan and highly recommend it!!!!
The planner handling the Swan wedding/VRs for 'JustMarry' at the moment is called Karen and she is an absolute angel!!! If you drop her an email (just google 'Just Marry'), she will forward you some information without obligation.
Feel free to have a peek at my report of our special day (the link is in my signature) and if I can be of further help, or answer any questions, don't hesitate to ask!!! There is also a sticky at the top of the board for FAQ for Swan and Dolphin (sister hotels) brides!!! Best of luck sweetie!!!

Wow!!! Your day look amazing and its so nice to see people getting on and helping eachother on here.Esp with all the riots atm.

You should become a wedding planner or sell wedding extras eg bags...They look lovely! I would buy them!

Whether i renew them at a Disney Resort etc or a hotel based at Disney makes no differance to me. Its the renewing thats most important to me.

My wedding was at Sandals Jamaica, which was nice but i was so ill and on medication....His family were not supportive (which ruined it for my husband) at all,so our after party was cancelled aswell.i didnt enjoy it,plus other issues. We couldnt afford to put 100% into it either....I know it sounds like we didnt bother etc but the circumstances made it that way.

I found your history to be inspiring, it amazes me how you havent had it easy at times and youve kept positive and enjoyed life. Look at you now!! Happy family, happy marriage and an amazing wedding to show it all.. Love it!

So i really want an event to remember, where my husband and i have no regrets and enjoy it all.
Obv i dont want to sell a kidney lol

Ill have a look at the justmarry site and hopefully get loads of info.

Thankyou so much for your kind response.

I know how you feel about the Disney prices! DH & I renewed our vows for our 20th this past April. We had our ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion and the cake celebration at Commander's Terrace at the Grand Floridian. All was set up by Disney. We had the Escape package and upgraded our disney photography to Cinderella package B (an extra $750). My TR link shows the break down of how much everything cost.

It was expensive - but I'm so glad we did it! For our "original" wedding we did the traditional thing; this time around it was what we wanted and how we wanted.

Good luck!
