We are going to WDW in late July for a baseball tournament :cheer2: !! We have the opportunity to purchase meal vouchers for 12.00...the lunch/dinner vouchers. Everyting I have read states the vouchers are not available, but these are offered from Disney to the ball team. I just don't see any real good deals to be had with these. I have looked at the menus on allears, and don't see many ways to maximize the dollar value. I was wondering if anyone who had used these in the past could suggest any really good places in which to use them :confused3 . We are staying at ASSp. We may try and move over to CSR when and if we lose out of the trny. I know CSR would be a good place to use them. How about the food court in ASSp? Any help? TIA :goodvibes !

i was looking at some of the CS menus and $12 is typically not a "bargain" even making the assumption that they include dessert and beverage as the average item is around $7, $2 for bev and $3 for dessert... although it may be nice to have the meals pre-paid...

also, since you're there for a sporting event, i checked the menu for the Wide World of Sports complex and i'm not sure if it's CS or TS but there were some pricier entrees there which, if included, could make the vouchers a bargain...

I did not even think of eating at the WWSp. You are so right though. If they are valid there, I'm sure that concession type food will be real pricey. Was that menu on allears site? I need to look at it. Thanks!

I purchased the vouchers last year and they are really worth it at a couple of places... if these are the same vouchers we had they include meal, side and dessert and drink we had great sucess using them at flame tree barbecue... tusker house and the best of all paces was beaches and cream... you can get any dessert you want there and some of the dessert sunbdaes are $6 to $7 dollars each!! our bill was over $30 each and we paid significantlyless for the voucher!
Good luck!!

beaches & cream is sit-down, no? if they're good at sit down and counter, then they are well worth their $12!

Yes, Kat. They must be the same vouchers. I thought Beaches and Cream would be good. We have eaten there before, but not with vouchers. We would love to go back. Most desserts are available, then? I think I remember something about the kitchen sink not qualifying, but that's OK. I am leaning toward purchasing several vouchers and using them for B&C and any other suggested places. Do you remember any other good bargains :) ? I thought Tuskers might be good, too. The food court at ASSp menu has things like steak and chicken. Does anyone know if those can be purchased w/the vouchers. And, are they any good :confused3 ? We got the free dining plan last fall, and were wanting that, but can't add it to our rooms because they are reserved by the team :sad2: . We will still have a ball :cheer2: !! Just wanting to hear from others who have had good deals with vouchers in the past! Thanks, Kat and Gigi :) .

Hi ... We have used the vouchers. Altho, its really not a good deal at most places, it is a GREAT deal at Beaches & Cream, Pepper Market as well as Cosmic Rays and tangiere Cafe - a pretty good deal. Beaches & Cream saved us $25 for the two of us. Enjoy :goodvibes

I agree with Beaches & Cream as a choice. The Pepper Market is also wonderful-- Lots of choices, large portions. However, they do limit the desserts you can choose when using vouchers.
