Just a general question and I'm looking to see what you guys think.
Will DH and I come out better with the vouchers or the DDE card? I have a feeling on which is better, but I just want to see what my DIS family thinks. A 20% discount on food at Disney is AWESOME.... :Pinkbounc :bounce: and I don't think the vouchers will even come close to that. I plan on being there 5 days and 4 nights and doing a lot of nice sit down dinners and doing breakfast everyday. For lunch we will probably do counterservice within the parks or ASMu resort.
So what do you guys think? I have a feeling the DDE card is the way to go. :teeth: :earsgirl:

Sorry, I have been out of the loop for awhile--what is a DDE Card?

Thanks!

WDW4ME---Disney Dining Experience Card for FL residents. It allows a discount of 20% at certain Disney restaurants.

Does no one have an opinion??? :(

Sorry I've never heard of the DDE card?

What did you decide, Tigger? I think it might be worth it to have a few vouchers for the REALLY good voucher deals and the DDE card for everything else...

I agree with Steffi - a couple of vouchers could come in handy. Anybody got a DDE card they want to lend to some 'poor midwesterners' from the heart of Kansas? Golly, we would trade you some 'sunflower seeds' and our little dog Toto!:earseek:

We used to have the DDE card when we owned a house in Florida. That was back a few years when all you had to have was a florida address and any other proof such as electric bill, tax bill, or checks on Florida banks. Now you need FL DL. oh well> DDE was well worth the cost. We used it constantly, even for cookies or ice cream at the food courts. One or two good meals for five paid for the card. Definitely do DDE.

Sorry I didn't see this thread until today...

I'm a huge fan of the DDE card and use it constantly. It is good at just about all of the sit-down restaurants at WDW except for those that are not owned by Disney (Teppanyaki comes to mind). The 20% discount is great, especially since it covers your food and drinks, alcohol included. The biggest thing to remember is to tip on the amount of the bill before the discount. What I normally do, unless the service is just awful, is take whatever the original bill was and pay that.

DDE also has special culinary events that are wonderful, although I don't often take advantage of them. In addition, there is a discount for PI through DDE which is great when I have friends in town who want to party.
