Voting on VMK HomePage

Since they re-did the website I haven't been able to vote on the home page. I've attempted to send this in through the Contact Us page twice but I haven't heard anything back from them.

How many other people can't vote?

Same here. Still can't vote on my windows 98 computer or my xp computer. But on my other xp computer I can. Both xp's are set up the same way. Strange.

I have Comcast, but I can't vote. Does anyone know what allows some to be able to vote and some not? I have tried on the old IE, new IE 7, and Firefox.

It's the same for me. I don't have comcast, but have Yahoo dsl. I have used IE 6, IE7 & firefox. Nada.

well his connection is a 7 gigabyte connection, which is blazing fast!, comcast does lower speed connections too, this is their fastest. When i go on the library i cant vote and their connection is a T1 connection, very confusing

Well, I have Comcast and am pretty confident that isn't the issue. It's not even an IP address issue. I can't vote from my laptop but I can vote from my Mac! Both are on the same LAN and report the same IP address to the world. So for me, the difference is Mac vs. windows.

I should try voting from my son's or husband's computers that are also windows and are also on the same LAN.

FYI, when we had a moment, I had my husband go to the VMK home page using his windows laptop and he would have been able to vote. He uses the same LAN I do so we are both squawking the same IP address. Based on that, I'm guessing the problem involves individual computers. There must be some sort of cookie thingy stored somewhere, probably on the VMK servers, that indicates my computer has already voted. AAARGH!

Btw: I've also tried on my work computer and still can't vote.



*EDIT* I didn't check the homepage before I dumped my cookies on my work computer. But, I was able to just vote. But the topic had changed too. So I don't know if it was because of the topic change, me dumping my cookies or if they fixed it last night during all the homepage problems.
