How about we make one forum for actual strategy and planning threads and another for all complaints. This way all complaining goes into the complaint forum and I don't have to read it day in and day out when I am trying to plan my Christmas trip. It has gotten REALLY depressing over the past year and with that I realize that this post would also fall into the complaining category. :rotfl:

As always the advice is choose the threads that interest you the most.

Whether it is sprinkled with lots of Pixie dust or a healthy doze of satire we have a thread to suit all tastes :)

Of course Cyrano is correct. If you do not like complaint threads (and they are usually identifiable by their title) then it is quite simple. Do not read them.

Hunter, I do agree with you that your post is technically a complaint. :)

If the person starting the thread titles it properly, it should take your brain about 1.5 seconds to determine if the thread is one that will help you plan your Christmas trip. And even if the thread is not titled properly, it should take you about 6 seconds to read enough of the first post to determine if the thread is heading in a direction that interests you. If you are really spending "day in and day out" reading posts that don't interest you, the problem is in the mirror. In fact, if you even come back to your own thread and comment about any of the follow-up posts, it pretty much proves the point that the time spent reading irrelevant threads is of your own doing.

I find the complaint threads to be helpful, though. For example, if a person starts a thread saying that FP+ did not work for their family and then says what their strategy was and what specifically didn't work (weren't able to get a fourth FP, the FP was unnecessary for the rides they chose, etc.), it will help me in planning my trip and FP+ selections better. Also, other people will come on the thread and often say that they had the same problem (which reinforces what I don't want to do) or will say what they did to combat the situation to have a positive outcome.

Yep.

I'm going to post my humble opinion! Take all the complaining with a grain of salt!!
I have people tell me all the time that they would never step foot at WDW at Christmas because of the crowds, but I am here to tell you that with careful planning you will have a WONDERFUL trip!! Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year to go!! I wish I had a trip planned for this year because I have a serious case of the Disney blues. I have been 5 times at Christmas and I will continue to go at that time of year in the future. In fact, I have a Disney Dec. 2015 trip in the planning stages. :)

Relax!! Have fun!! It will be magical! Happy planning!

You don't have to read it.

Or do you?...Is someone forcing you to read it??...Do you need us to call for help?? Tap once for yes and twice for no!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Seriously, if there were going to be a separation of this section, it would be to set up a subcategory just for FP+ questions/comments/strategies/complaints...

A big tip off: if someone posts a topic and suddenly it soars to 5 + pages, avoid it. Seriously, some of the complaining helps, too. I learned a lot from reading all the threads, and now that my vacation is over, I contribute my experiences to some of these threads so perhaps they will help others. I don't always post things others necessarily agree with, or want to see, but I try to do so accurately (at least IMO) and respectfully. It sometimes gets tedious to read when it becomes an *ahem* spirited debate.
