We booked our vacation through a local travel agency. We plan on a 4/3 at the Polynesian, approx. Cat 6.

Who had "done you right" as far as TA's are concerned? (We are getting quotes from Dreams Unlimited.) If you've booked through Disney, was ala cart better than packages?

Thanks in advance....

First, on the ala carte question, you can definitely get a better deal booking land and sea separately rather than going with a Disney package. You can do it yourself, or a good travel agent should be able to help you.
And for good travel agents, my vote would have to go to DU. With all the cruises we do, they have saved us lots of money when the prices have dropped on our cruises. They are the best!

Booking separately will probably save you a few bucks. I checked several sources for a quote for my upcoming cruise. www.kimskruises.com had the best price. She will beat any price you get also. I've used her for past cruises without any problems. hth :)

We booked separately with Dreams, too! Also we booked with Dreams for our upcoming 7 day. Dreams was the greatest without one problem and great service!

If we were not DVC I would go with dreams in a moment! In fact we may end up just banking our points one year and paying cash with dreams, gotta see what our quotes from DVC come in at.

We're sailing on the 7 day Eastern during Spring Break, and Costco Travel was my best price. DU quoted me the same price as Disney;however, DU did have a rebate. Even with the rebate, Costco was cheaper. I'm sure that DU has to have better service than Costco by far.

I've used an agent from Cruise One for the past 4 years...his prices, knowledge, and service are unsurpassed.

I have used Dreams in the past they were good. I currently use Your Magical Journeys, it just seemed like I "click" better with my agent there. They were much easier to get answers from as well, I don't think they sleep.

They meet almost any price I get elsewhere. I also realize the service I get is worth its weight in gold and price is not always the defining option for me. I want service as well.

An agency that you "click" with, no matter who it is, is the way to go.

Here's another vote for Dreams. We've used them in the past for both cruises and land vacations. They can't be beat as far as service and taking care of thier customers. They also will keep an eye out on price reductions for you.

They are the best in my book!
