Vons refusing to deliver to gch - UPDATED

This is awesome! I hadn't even thought of looking into Amazon Fresh while at the GCH. I live near Seattle and have used them several times. The service is wonderful.

UPDATE: Von's did eventually deliver our groceries. Evidently my husband added a bottle of liquor when I told him he could add to the order I placed, so this was part of the problem.

HOWEVER, I think the Von's driver was still way out of line, because when I asked him why our order couldn't be delivered, all he said was that he didn't know why, that the GCH just refused to accept it because we weren't there and he had no idea why. Furthermore, this was before 8 AM and even with alcohol, if the delivery had been made within the specified time frame (5pm), we would have been there to sign for it. When I told the driver he needed to return during the promised timeframe, he said they wouldn't do that and that I wouldn't get my items until the next day.

Something must have happened in the meantime, because about 5PM they did show up again. Of course, we weren't at the hotel because the driver told me he wasn't coming back. So the GCH called my husband's cell and told him they were there. We were very near the entrance so he was able to go sign, BUT, the GCH also told him that they would have signed on his behalf had he not been able to get there in time, and again told him that they did not refuse the AM delivery, either.

My last Vons order to the HOJO contained a lot of liquor and it was accepted by the front desk before we had even checked in. It could be an issue of the age of the person signing for the liquor being a minor perhaps?

GCH signed for ours from Vons with liquor in it. I was waiting for it, and GCH called to let me know it was there but the driver had already left.
