Vomiting in the parks?! :(

Yes At MGM my dd's best friend, she and her mom did RnR and then we went to Starring Rolls and she ate a big cinnamon roll and two minutes later she was puking while running down the street to the bathrooms it is a little ways away to get there - poor kid! It was really gross! We had FP's for TOT next I suggested we skip that but she said NO I lOVE IT! So we went and she was fine. That kid is a trooper, if I puke I am done for the day.

I made the mistake ... for my own constitution ... of riding Mission Space first thing after gaining access to Epcot one morning. I made it through without losing my breakfast, but there were 3 or 4 others who weren't so lucky. And to be honest, I was so green in the gills I'd have probably felt better if I had gone ahead an emptied my Mickey waffles into the nearest trash receptacle.

I've never seen someone spew on a ride, and have never even seen evidence of it happening.

However, in March I saw two puke-tastic sights.

1) We were getting on the tram outside of AK, and a lady in another line began spewing chunks like there is no tomorrow. I swear she threw up three times her own body weight. :crazy2: She finished and climbed aboard the tram to the applause of the riders as if nothing had happened. Before the tram even started to move, a CM *poofed* out from behind a bush and was sprinkling pixie dust (kitty litter) on the mess. :cheer2:

2) Someone had hurled right outside the Muppet shop across from Muppetvision. We missed the actual event, but laughed at the splattering because it matched the splattered paint theme of the front of the store. In very non-Disney-like fashion, the same puke was there hours later when we passed by again. I remember the days when you could accidentally drop a paper towel in a Disney park and someone would be snatching it up before it even hit the ground. Another sign of Disney losing the magic. :sad2: I saw many such signs for the first time in March.

I saw someone vomiting into a drinking fountain on the monorail line.

Someone walking past our table at El Pirata Y el Perico stopped and threw up on the ground-needless to say, we didn't finish our lunch:sick:

why did I open this thread:sick:

I have this fear also,(BIG TIME) just the thought of seeing someone else throwup gets my heart pounding! This is a fear that I hate more then anything.
Anyway... In the 6 trips I have taken to Disney, I have never seen anyone throw up, nor have I gotten sick.

I think I now need to start a thread asking if anyone hasn't seen someone throwup at Disney, cus this thread has me never wanting to go back. LOL (not really funny though)

we've seen tell tales signs of a 'protein spill' at the Mission Space ride and our barf bags were suspiciously missing from our seats in the spinning one. ;)

I doubt it would register much if I saw someone puking. Unless they needed help or whatnot. I'm the type of person who just deals with those kinds of things and can move on with my day after a good hand wash.

It's nice to know that I am not the only person who has a fear of people throwing up in general.

I am always paranoid on the bus to and from the hotel. I am always looking around at everyone.

the only time I saw someone get sick while leaving Blizzard Bearch. A young girl kept throwing up. Her parents were trying to help her as much as possible.

thanks to my mom, who carries a plastic bag all with her all the time, she was able to give the girl a bag for the ride back to the hotel. I now carry a plastic bag everywhere, especially on vacation and now having a child myself.

I've seen it twice....Last year we were walking thru the FP line at Soarin and a mom and boy (about 10 or so) were leaving that way in a hurry and right as we passed them....SPLASH, the threw up in about 3 spots along the walkway...the first one actually splashed my DD's DBF's legs...Thank goodness for the wipes I carry.

A few years back we were eating at Boma and had one of the tables that have chairs on one side and the big, long padded seat (that the tables share) on the other side. I was on the padded seat side and a little boy at the table next to us, also on the padded seat, threw up all of his dinner! His dad threw napkins over it real quick and thank goodness I couldn't smell it or dinner would have been over for me! Apparently the little boy enjoyed Boma alot and over indulged!!

I saw someone vomiting into a drinking fountain on the monorail line.

First of all, gross!

Second, I recall riding Space Mountain as a teen, and getting out in the exit area where someone had just barely made it out of their car before a protein spill right there on the ground, not 3 feet from the track. Looked like a big pile of soft dog food!

My mother and I were at DHS (MGM back then) in 2005 for the Opening of Lights Motor Action, and the Kick off of the Happiest Celebration on Earth. My mother and i had a great time at LMA and decided later in the trip to go see it again. We were in our scooters and had just finished parking on the lower level where the sun is brutal btw. and the lady behind us turns towards us and OMG it was gross.... vomits all over the ground, the back of my moms scooter and her clothes. :scared: :scared:

We took off back towards the exit ramp told the CM there what happened and headed for the exit. A manager helped us clean up and got us a ride back to our hotel to change as we didn't want to not shower after that because obviously she was ill either from the sun or the flu. He put us in a company vehicle drove us back to POFQ and had the hotel credit our account for the scooter rentals for the rest of the trip as a goodwill gesture which wasn't necessary. We thanked him. Wrote a letter to Guest Services and we always make a point to stop and say hi if we see him working.

SO what was a really GROSS and did I mention GROSS situation was at least cleaned up and taken care of!

My friend got sick after riding RnRC. It was early morning and as soon as we got to the park (right after having breakfast), we got right on TOT and then got right on RnRC, she barely made it through the gift shop. On another trip she almost got sick on the one ride in Animal Kingdom that is like a coaster and the cars spin (forgive me I can't think of the name of it). And the last trip she got sick after going on EE. Needless to say next time we go, I will be going on the coasters alone.

After a year of saving and planning we land in Orlando and were heading to Poly our dream resort. As we are riding on the ME bus, DH and I were trying to get some kind of excitement out of DD (6 at the time) who just sat there like she did not care. Frankly, I was no annoyed by her lack of excitement.

We walk in the lobby and low and behold there is NO line to check in. I walked up to the CM and get my Aloha greeting and the next think I know, DD vomits all over my shoes and the Poly lobby floor! (Sorry to all you people in the concierage line). I was on the verge of tears and of course mortified. :scared1: This nice lady came up to me and hugged me and told me it would be okay! I wish I got her name because she was so great and made me feel better:hug:

The Poly staff were awesome (we were up all night with our little puker )

Thankfully it was a quick 24 hour bug. Beyond that experience, we did not encounter any additional vomit.

I am a pediatric nurse. I am in the business of puke. Especially during stomach flu season...

not on a ride, by dd threw up all over me on the boat back to FW after getting dizzy and nauseous on buzz light year. Poor kid was a mess...and do was i...ewwwww

Just last week we were in one of the presentation rooms for Test Track and then the doors open and there are 4-5 spots of kitty litter covered puke:sick: people were hopping over it and stepping over it and the only thing I could think of was "oh god I hope that person didn't go on the ride and then I told my kids not to touch anything:rotfl2:

My 3 year old had an "incident" in Adventureland. We had just gotten off POC and he was strapped in an umbrella stroller. As we were leaving he starting freaking out at shouting "Choke! Choke!" I knew what was about to happen. I rushed him to the side to get him to a garbage can but I was too late. All over his shoes and on the curb by the tikis that spurt water. There was a man right next to us that got a front row seat. He was so cordial and said he understood. He had kids too. If he is reading this, I am soooo sorry again you had to see (and smell) that. :scared:

I have no idea what caused it. Now, I always carry a plastic bag with me. I learned my lesson. ;)

We were at Dollywood in TN last week and my son did the unthinkable while waiting on a ride. There was no time for us to react. He got overheated. Most of the parents around were very nice about it although the park was full of high school students on that day and a lot kept oohing and grossing out. My son who is 6 was so embarrassed and crying. As a parent, I don't worry about. My son has done it before in a restaurant, at home, in the car--you get the picture---you get used to it. After last Friday, I did start carrying a plastic bag in the zipped compartment of my purse in case it happens to us or even someone nearby. I think that is a great idea if you are worried about it so much.

My then 4 year old DS threw up all over himself out of the blue at MGM a couple of years ago. I was mortified and we cleaned him up as best we could and got out of there fast!

The plane ride home this past Tuesday was where I actually saw the most protein spills I've ever seen - lots of turbulence and I was feeling pretty queasy myself. It felt like a very long ride to say the least!

OMG this is so funny. I'm glad I can laugh at it now....I'm praying this never happens to me! I'm a sympathy puker so if I see you puke, you won't be alone! :rotfl: I'm fine if it's my boys since they're young and can't do much about it...but if it's another adult-like DH-it's over...and there's no way I can clean it up. I worked in a hospital for a while and took care of patients doing a lot of yucky stuff but I always had a problem with puke. I hope I don't have to see this while we're at the most magical place on Earth!

In January at the Studios. We had a great spot for the parade and it was about 5 minutes to start. Mom was pushing a girl about 8? in a stroller on the sidewalk behind us, I was talking to my friend and was this poor thing lose it all. My friend didn't understand why I wanted to move. I just couldn't sit there anymore bc everytime I turned to talk to my friend, I saw it.

We were able to move across the street and up aways, in front of a trash can. I'm still haunted by the vision.........
