We have only stayed/ went to Disney parks. Looking to add a weekend this July at orlando added on to our beach trip. My son is Interested in a water park on this weekend. Are there deals for the water park and a certain resort? Or should we stay at bonnet creek and drive over? Not sure about resorts in comparison to being close to park.

Cabana Bay is the closest hotel about a 5ish minute walk and reasonably priced although July will be high since its peak season
Aventura is also close and walkable
Dockside and Surfside are the cheapest and have bus transportation
