If you have seen any of my posts from our recent trip to Universal then you know how much we loved our first family trip to Universal Studios Orlando. We decided to do Volcano Bay and ran into all the issues that go along with a park that reaches capacity. Long wait times and Tapu Tapu not working right was a pain, but the kids water play area, lazy river, and leisure pool were all REALLY fun. We did have a great time and our only issues were with the crowds not the park itself. The park itself is BEAUTIFUL!

the great thing about the kids water area Runamukka Reef is that is has SLIDES! Even during a max capacity day our kids could just walk up to these slides all day long. There wasn't just one slide there were several and of all types. If you have small kids who love splash parks then this is the ultimate kids splash park that we have seen so far.

I hope you enjoy our video of the kids play area.

That does look incredible! Crowds or not, I think we will visit VB in September. Now even more excited.

If you get there at park open you can hit all the water slides then enjoy the lazy river, wave pool, and kid area while waiting for your time to open up for more slides as the crowds roll in.

I have been asked pretty regularly what camera did I use and could I take it on the slides?

I used a GoPro Hero 4+ silver in the waterproof case. On the day that I went i got mixed answers as to could I bring it on the slides so I decided against filming the slides. I have since seen where the policy is that it must be strapped to your body to go down slides. So a wrist strap or chest strap would work. The lifeguards at the entrance to the slides are who to ask. The workers that manage the lines could not answer any questions for me about the GoPro and would point me to the lifeguards. So check with the lifeguards to see what the policy is when you arrive.
